So like race 2 this weekend, both will probably have huge chunks of action cut out.

GP2 got a major headache now as the F1 race in Bahrain is not happening so want is thier plan with the GP2 Asia for this year?

It's scrapped presumably. They don't seem to be pro-active in organisation a replacement race, and they can't base a championship on 1 weekend.

And it is probably not right to retrospectively incorporate the Abu Dhabi round into the Main Series.

Hopefully they will learn their lesson not to rely on two circuits for a championship.

I doubt if the regulations for the main series could be reissued to include the races at held in Abu Dhabi. In any event, it would perhaps not be fair even if theoretically possible.

I suspect that either the Asia championship will not be awarded or the series may be rescheduled to include races at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and possibly a further event around the same time.

in fact GP2 is sorting out its headache as we speak, looking for a replacement track (Qatar or one in Europe). and therefore the GP2 Asia season will as least have one more feature & reverse grid races.

I think GP2 has to make a call soon on this as there is GP2 Main testing in uner 2 months time therefore that is one of the reasons that a one off race in Europe could be needed for GP2 Asia.

Two more seats has been taken in GP2 Main (again same place as last time) and this are Razia & Valsecchi in the team Airasia cars. in others word staying put for the world GP2 year

Today must be the day of the great driver announcements. Teixeira in F1, Sureshwaren & Kralev in F2 and Leal in GP2.
Actually Leal is much better than the others but still way below average to race in the championship winning team.

Thats a bit hard on Teixeira, his R3.5 test was good he's improved
massively he was only 3.5s off (but still at the back of the field). He will take a lot to Team Lotus and I mean a LOT

I think Teixeira is probably the only F1 driver who's able to do a race distance(fitness permitting) with 2 pitstops. He's just so slow, that the tires or brakes will hardly reach working temperature...

All a bit harsh, as Texiera was only 1.8s off and was first time at Motorland and first time in 3.5. Everone else had at least day before and most several days end of last year if not season. Not saying he's great but give him a chance. Anyway wrong thread to discuss this.
