German Eurosport commentators said the same, but they added that it's not yet more than a rumour

Dutch Eurosport commentator didn't say anything about it, but he never knows what he's talking about

He said the current Chevy drivers will drive also a Lacetti next season.

N.Technology running official Honda's would surprise me because JAS is longtime partner of Honda (running official Civics in IRC this season). BUT on the other hand N.Techs (and WTCC support series) Formula Master is using 2L Honda engines! So there's already a link between the Italian team and the Japanese manufacturer.

BTW Stefvh, welcome at Ten-Tenths.

Seat and Coronel and his sponsors really seem to like the WTCC, so no surprise there. Big question is offcourse if he will get a factorycar, and, if not, if he will be eligible for the privateerchampionship. You'd say he deserves a full factorydrive by now...

O. Tielemans has an option to continue with N-Technology next year. (official website of Tielemans)

Besides that also some other rumour, maybee, likely, possible:
Proteam Motorsport, BMW 320si: Rangoni
Wiechers Sport, BMW 320si: D'Aste
Team Aviva (WSR): Turkington, D. Huisman, Onslow-Cole
(Maybee no BMW's in BTCC??)
Seat Sport, Seat Leon: Oscar Nogues

What is going to happen to Davide Roda?

He was brought in to replace Sergio Hernandez but whatever the problem was with himself and Proteam it has long been since ironed out not long after he was axed.

But if I am correct the new Accord is launched next year. So IMO official Honda support makes no sense. Or is the new Accord launched at the end of 2008?

Depends, maybe Honda wants a factory representation when the WTCC hits Japan in 08. Plus that N-Technology could develop the new Accord when it arrives.

I wonder who'll be signed next to Thompson. Tielemans has an option for next year, and a strong financial backer, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him back. But who'll drive that 3rd car then? One of the Italian drivers? Colciago perhaps, having experience with both the Accord and N-Technology? Just guessing here of course.

Another question; If N-Technology won't have factory support, will they be flagged as Independants? Thompson will have to fight the big guns anyway, but would Tielemans and the 3rd driver be Indies in that case?

Surely N-Tech could just build Civics with Dynamics ...

Why would they share if a proper effort can result in them getting the deal exclusively?

Don't forget that N-Technology already uses a Honda engine for their F. Masters single seater so
a) they already got a deal with Honda
b) they may have their WTCC engine ready or almost ready

Which is the engine used in the Dynamics Civics ... (The basis block, not that the IFM engine is the same as the BTCC one).
