Westcoast and Honda shall ask themselves, whether they really want to win the championship. At least 3 cars fully funded with 3 decent drivers are the minimum when facing a pseudo works team of Seat.

If only it was that easy. Lukoil is paying to sponsor all 3 cars, WestCoast do not have such luxury. They are relying on drivers coming with a budget.

Maybe difficult for Westcoast, but easy to pay for Honda. After all they do want the promotion of a title to sell their product...

The whole problem is that that's forbidden by TCR. It's not a factory championship, its a teams championship.

Can be. Commentator on Serbian TV was live at Oschersleben and he said that there will be Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Renault next year on grid. And maybe BMW and Jaguar if TCR change regulations.

I'm sure you can show me the rule in TCR regulations, that regulates the exact way the teams are funded. I'm sure that there is some kind of pecunian help for Bamboo by Seat Sport, let it be cash, testing opportunity, etc. etc. etc. I have no proof for that statement though.

BUT: I just checked the Websites of Craft-Bamboo and B3 Racing. Craft-Bamboo names Seat-Sport as second sponsor after Lukoil (together with Team Dynamics Wheels and others). B3 does NOT (their list btw is also way longer, including Burger King and a dozend others).

This is not proof for anything, but come on...

True, its like GT3 where the top teams receive additional support from the factory, in the shape of engineers, data and factory drivers. I guess it's the grey area which could be used.

Thats also actually my favourite way of racing. Where else can a real privateer like Homola, Grachov, Buri, etc. truly compete against semi works pro drivers like Morbidelli, Oriola, Gene and the likes.

What model would Jaguar use for TCR?

I don't think TCR is the championship for Jaguar.

I'd love it, but that will never happen... I also wonder what an Serbian Anchor is supposed to know that tct isn't. Maybe before daydreaming about fata morganas we should wait for Opel and Kia to arrive and pray for Alfa and Subaru to ever get to decent performance.

The XE is a D-segment car, a class bigger than most of the TCR models.

Only XE fit in TCR and it's just little bigger than WRX.
Also is there are rule in any touring class that say car cant be longer than?
I mean someone can use Rolls-Royce Phantom. With stripped of luxury and with 2.0 330hp it will be hilarious

Also look like Target Competition Astra will be back in Sepang

XE is the same size as a BMW 3 series...which competed alongside Civic and Leon in S2000 competition.

He is known for stupid comments about every sport he comments.
But for TCR he is informed by Borkovic press team.

So in Oschersleben had the Alfa good Speed (Fulin 4th in Practice). They must work on the reliability

Well, we're talking about Bop, so Fulin should be able to place the car consistently in the top 10 on every track, since he is a fast driver. They are not there yet. I hope he stays on the team, Cerruti alone won't cut it.

It's all very well and good to have new manufacturers joining, but it would be nice if the existing ones actually turned up at some point!

I know the Opels are supposed to be back in time for Sepang but does anyone know when the Fords & Subarus are going to be ready? How's the Kia project going?

Subaru gave some new parts, but I hardly would call that "full support".

I still can't quite get my head round circuit racing Subarus. They should be covered in beastly mud and oomska. But the more, the merrier.

New drivers for Sochi are:
Ildar Rakhmatullin for WestCoast Racing (same as last year)
Vladimir Sheshenin for Liqui Moly Team Engstler.
