Press Release
Dee Saster (press officer): "Due to a major sabotage all but one of our cars has made it to the track and has managed to do some testing and qualify for the race. We have our suspicions but we will not be naming any names. The FIA was kind enough to let us do a time with our mascot VW but this was not much consolation! We hope to track down the culprits! Im afraid this WRECKS our chances like a BOMB! We have one witness but he says it was all just a BLURR! He was busy having Tea at the time! Basically everyone is a suspect!! Yahoo Cup Qualifing We managed to get 3 cars qualified today but our 4th car had to be left on the mainland because the spot on the ferry over to Yahoo Island had been taken up by someones hideous VW beetle. "I wasn't too worried about leaving Bomn-05 behind but I am really upset at having to leave the Edsel with it." cried Ray Sleed. Frida Goodholm. Entertainment Director.

FIA PRESS RELEASE
Results of Stewards investigations at San Marino Grand Prix After an anynomous email was recieved (DriverT, you really should'nt put a signature on your emails), an investigation commenced into the possible breach of rule 57, section (iv) part a) with regards to Aerodynamic aides. At a very tall 6'7, Cougar Grand Prix's lead driver's ears are thought to be helping provide downforce on the car. We investigated the matter and after measuring the ears realised it may have some positive effects. We were however confused that despite this obvious advantage he was still a slow driver. Further tests concluded that when he sat in the car, his massive ego swelled his head to a point that when combined with his great height, negated any benefit those ears gained. We hope this clears the matter up. Having questioned our pagani driver at length (his name escapes me for the moment - it might return to memory if he finds a new cheque book) we have decided to submit an official complaint to the CoC concerning the antics of one Cougar driven VW Beetle. Although the Beetle didn't exactly hold up our qualifying lap, it did bring about significant psychological damage to our entire pagani team when it overtook our car round the outside of turn 4. FIA PRESS RELEASE
Cougar Grand Prix Team A dark cloud has come over the normally upbeat Ten-Tenths racing group. For the first time in it's history, we have decided to disqualify Cougar Racing's VW beatle. It beaches many regulations, the worst being the rules of good taste. It should also be noted Cougar failed an alcohole breath test when he finsihed his lap. We were also unimpressed with his offer for a urine test that he sublitted infront of us in pit lane. Cougar Racing hereby formally would like to make it clear that the decision to run our VW Beatle was due to size issues in the standard cars. Driver Cougar was complaning about serious leg cramps as he had to squeeze his 6'7 frame into the small tight and cramped cockpit of the regular F1 car. We found that if he could sit on the back seat of the Beatle he had enough leg room to complete the race in comfort! If certain other teams are unhappy about this then we should make them try and compete in a SMART car and see how they enjoy that! This is not the end. We will fight this and we WILL run our beatle again! |
