Yes, I think you could say that we have never been so competitive as in our last races and there is a strong focus on increased reliability and performance. A few other initiatives have also been deployed.

I dearly hope that all the peeps at Spyker now have the time to prepare well for the upcoming season. Last years car was so promising that one would think that the only way now,is up.

Hey vandijk ..... does Spyker do sportscar merchandise ?

I saw their stall a couple of years ago at Le Mans , but it was all F1 stuff . In Le Mans , I ask'ya !!!

Yes they do - they are working on a new 2009 collection and, like last year, there will be a Spyker shop with Squadron clothing / merchandising.

Very good to hear that there is an intensive winterprogram

Last year the car were barely finished for the first race, so with some extra preparation time they should be doing a good job next year!

Hope to get more updates in the future! Or maybe a pressrelease?

Found some information about the test that took place on 28/29 october at the ATP automotive proving grounds in Papenburg.

But you have to understand German Spyker driver Benjamin Leuenberger put some information on his website. You can read it HERE.

They sure are.

Also the movie section has some very nice footage. Especially of the man in a Murcielago R-GT doing a hillclimb! Pure magic...

Spyker Squadron 2009 Programme
I noticed that the 2009 calendar is now on http://www.spykersquadron.com/ It consists of the LMS Series races and the Le Mans 24 Hour race.

Unfortunately no news on the Squadron website on how many cars are to be entered and which drivers will be used...

Any thoughts?

@The Badger, really? Do you think Speedy will fund three cars? (LPM1, LPM2 and GT2)

And I do hope that SNORAS will still be there next year as a sponsor. Because they sold their shares in Spyker some time ago to another part of the Convers Group:

I hope they will fund 3 cars!! I would love to see Chiesa and especially Leuenberger back in the Spyker!

Well, Leuenberger has just been announced as Speedy LMP2 driver along Pompidou and Kane.So maybe Chiesa and Zacchia in the Spyker?
