Wait, how did the Rebellions lose even more time? They were definitely under a minute behind before the pitstops...

It’s taken the #7 half the race to earn its lap back on the Rebellions, including having the rub of the green with the FCY and a couple of safety cars.

That implies that if a Toyota even had a minor delay of one lap, it would take 5-6 hours to take it back.

That’s using my dodgy maths btw.

Nakajima spins. Not his (or the #8's) finest hour at the moment.

I noticed they lose at least 2-3 seconds in each stop from leaving the pit box. The starter motor doesn't fire instantly, and they can't fire it until the fuel is done. The Toyota electrical power is always on, so they leave instantly. They also have more fuel to put in, so the stops longer anyway.

Currently they're only doing 2:02s, but the Toyotas are 2:00 flat or below.

Rebellion are certainly running more downforce. Toyota doesn't use much hybrid power in the middle sector, so that's where Rebellion makes all its time up.

That would depend on how the pace difference as a fraction of the lap at Spa translates to LM. I would tentatively assume that the fractional gap in June would be smaller - both cars would improve, but I believe the Rebellions have more pace to find.

Your point is taken though, the Rebellions are already quick enough to keep Toyota honest if they have even a small problem.

The Ferraris have come good as the race has gone on. Ford hasn't really made up any ground on Bruni though.
