It was good seeing dick still being able to smile and give time for the fans after all the sh*t he has been through.

Who might you classify as a 'marquee driver' though? |

It would just be Chaz right? Not saying he fits the definition...but he is better than his team mate...by a fair whack.

Wonder if friday is buy a book day at Willowbank.
More comebacks than Whispeing Jack, maybe should enrol in a business management course, or how not to be a stubborn twit. Lot of money and ppl went that way, and look whats left. Ppl say its sad, ahh nah, sometimes looking into a miror will give you the answer you are looking for. decisions made, had to live with. Cant keep asking for handouts when there seems to be no business plan going forward. Maybe wed will bring good news, but again for how long? |

Can someone explain how the interview tonight on A Current Affair on #9 (its on their website Here actually gives a conventional sponsor any comfort that the funds spent sponsoring their team will actually go directly to the team?
Not real good... |

So... DJR had a Navy Helicopter & the 2 cars & their current pair of pilots out by the water in Surfers Paradise, and apparently went for a drive down the road...
Seems there is no announcement of a 'marquee' driver, nor of a change in branding on the cars (other than New Age Caravans is now on the nose of both #17 and #12) |

so what was the tie in with the Navy? I'm scratching my head, apart from The Chaz's sponsorship, but it doesn't seem there was an explicit tie in.
Nothing on the DJR website, nothing on PressReleaseCafe, nothing on Navy.gov.au, nothing on V8Supercars |

I wonder how many weeks, and how many publications, will try and use extracts from the upcoming book to fill space...
In AA this week, there is mention that DJR lost '$15 million in one day' from a 'deal' with Hungry Jacks, that is reported to have fallen apart due to a lack of clarity around the teev deal. The story goes on to suggest that the deal, reportedly worth $3m a season for 5 seasons, was at the agreement-in-principle stage. But not a signed off arrangement. Hungry Jacks had appeared on the PMM cars for a couple of years, introduced by the commercial team, who also moved to DJR, where the brand appeared on the PMM Falcon. The Hungry Jacks brand appears this season on Mr Fiore's LDM main game car. Was a deal really on? Or was it wishful thinking? |

He said that he hated ending Steve's career. So Dick, you lost sponsors because you wanted to keep Steve in the seat, but now your saying that he won't be able to pick up another competitive drive ? Why would that be ? Not good enough ? |
