Just saw a new pic on Mulsanne's Corner FB page. It looks like Loic's accident was a worse case scenario, it looks like it hit the wall roof first. Looks like wall peeled back almost half the roof.

Looks like another instance where the ACO's attempts to keep cars from getting airborne has failed.

Deggis' second pic seems to confirm that the fencing and wall did a number on the car's roof.

Looks like he went in roof first. Thank goodness he wasn't in an open prototype.

Henry Pescarolo is saying that the monocoque should be also damaged and Audi must ask a derogation from the ACO to repair it.

repair a carbon monocoque in a so short time? simply impossibile; in last 2 years we saw 2 destryoed 458 during FP being reassembled using new chassis... audi will have 3 cars in race for sure, no doubt about this. Only question is if duval will be able to join the race or not.

In other news it appears that Rebellion's are a bit closer to the pace now.

yes ... Rebellion is only ten seconds off the pace I guess the weight break didn't make much difference.

Too early to say, they did 3.31 at test day I believe so doubt they would be slower. I'd imagine they are still trying to get to grips with the car, I wouldn't expect them to be going for superfast qualy simulation runs but working on race setup

Well, I don't think that with this break they could be slower than 3.31 achieved with an heavier car... they are just running without pushing for now

Aston Martins showing their true colors...3.57's out of nowhere all of the sudden..We were all fooled. I really believed they didn't have the pace.

What i want to know now is how they got those drivers soo well versed nd adept at sandbagging. Bruno Senna and Darren Turner had me convinced they were nowhere.

There is a large gap between the top three and the rest of the GTEs.

Kinda weird how the Porsche (LMP1) isn't faster; must not be close to trying to set a banzai lap yet.

Their keeping their cards close. They want pole. They want it because they don't think they can win but pole would be a good highlight/bragging right over Audi. If the Toyota is hitting 343 I would have to believe the Porsche might touch 350.

I'm waiting for a 919 onboard with telemetry, to check top speeds on mulsanne and at porsche sector. To me, they have great top speed but too low downforce to be competitive like audi and toyota in porsche sector corners

I'm eager to see what kind of pace the Corvette can run. Whether or not they can match the Ferrari

I doubt that Porsche can beat Toyota with top speed.

According to Sam Collins the flexible rear body was worth 5 km/h.

Are they actually racing with that? I mean, is that now allowed? Haven't followed it recently.
