Echoing the thoughts on the Glickenhaus through sector 3 - the first onboard I saw through there and I immediately thought "bloody hell that's got very ragged this lap". Then it was the same on the next couple and I realised that's how they were having to drive it. There's no way any driver can do that through 24 hours of stints, no matter how good - you'll stack it at some point. They're going to have to dial that back if they want to finish with a similar shaped car. Yikes.

In Q Mike Conway was on an even quicker lap, but got pinged for track limits so backed off. Was 0.3 up at that point!

I'm under the impression that both the SCGs went backwards after this morning's rebuild with new engines and rear ends. They looked more competitive and more sorted on Wednesday and at the test and the drivers sounded happy with the balance.

I was shocked about the car behaviour! The Glick never looked like at races like this. Don t know whether it is because of low fuel spec, but I totally agree, that what a team has to find is car balance thru 24 hours. Like this, you can NOT drive for 24 hours, whatever the reason is.

What Toyota did here is just impressive. You can mock them, label them, but you cannot say, that they did not take any opportunity to go out on track, did not push the cars to the limit. That is what you call SERIOUS preparations. They did a lot more running than the HC counterparts...So, who deserves to win the race?

I decided to buy the official stream from WEC after searching for pirate stream for years...and dear God, the stream is a delight! Watching simoultaneusly the onboard shot with the race feed + the expert view of the live timing is seriously worth 9 EUR + you do not have to fill your PC with viruses, logins, cracks and at the end you get a -SD resolution.

The car that gets to the end of 24 hours in the lead….. There is no ‘divine right’ or ‘we deserve to win’ at Le Mans.
