Always rated Berthon highly after his first year so very pleased to see him get pole! Can't help but think the Audis have some favourable BOP though, with the Hyundais taking too big a hit. |

No testing with the new car, I'm sure Zengo will recover as the season progress

If WTCR continues going this path I don't see a long future of it especially because it was supposed to be a 'customer racing' but manufacturers have a lot to say. |

WTCC/R has always been ruled by incompetence. Although you could say the same about every racing series that has ever existed.
Girolami won the first race but two of his teammates blew up. It was nice of Euroshit to throw a full-length ad-break in there 2/3 of the way through the race. |

Yes, WTCR is the biggest motorsport disappointment in recent years. Results seem like a lottery, circuits are terrible and the whole BOP bull.hit takes any interest out of it. Even if I try I can't follow it, sometimes it's impossible to understand the championship.

SRO had many problems with GT3 BOP to begin with but now they seem to have found a great balance, maybe WTCR/TCR need to get in touch and get some advice?

https://www.touringcartimes.com/2020...cu-exemptions/ Hyundai justifiably ****ed off about exemptions handed out over the ECU, and being on the wrong end of the BoP stick. |

I agree that TCR manufacturers shouldn't ask for benefits. It's a BoPed championship, get over it.

Santiago Urrutia performed very well. Zolder is not the best racetrack to overtake, and he qualified well and kept up in rhythm.

They had trouble integrating the C-ECU to a Golf last year. Compatibility with existing systems in the cars seems to be the main sticking point, when VW/Audi/Cupra use Bosch, and Honda uses Motec, for instance.
Looking back 5 years ago, it could have been addressed then... |

Has the demolition of WTCR just begun or is it a wake-up call for organisers to finally change something?

No way. They got no action over Lynk and Co, and now I think their complaints are warranted.
For people who didn't use the mandated ECU, there should have been some sort of penalty associated with the dispensation to run, not a free kick. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk |

Infact, when was the last "good" WTCR race? |
