Toyota has good race pace and they are able to do 2 laps more thanks to extra 3 liters. This could be an interesting race afterall...

I know its early but that Safety car just drove a huge wedge between GTE 1-2-3 and 4-5-6-7-etc...

So is it going to dry up, or get wetter? So how much of this is toyota's real speed or audi holding back do to conditions? I don't know hopefully its their true pace,but I remember last year toyota had the advantage of out dragging audi down the straights,so far it seems like Audi matched maybe even a bit faster in a drag down the straights.

With the Safety Car situation why dont they allow the second group to catch up with the first group a lap before they are due to restart the race?

How is the #1 Audi so much faster then the others?
Im wondering if Audi pegged back the #2 and #3 for fuel mileage and they're letting the #1 go for it |

Makes perfect sense with a driver obviously having had a massive crash without anyone being aware of driver condition. It was obvious right away that he couldn't just walk away.
Thank God you're not the race director. Safety car was the only right call here. |

Yes, but the driver wasn't getting out on his own from that. The end didn't look too bad but I didn't see him get out on his own and Eurosport was showing an overhead of some serious work going on away from the car and a couple blue blankets held up so I'm guessing driver condition and medical staff safety is more important that the fan whinging about safety cars. If you don't like it go watch something else but the minute I see safety cars held PURELY for fan entertainment then I'm out. And yes I buy things based on sponsors, have no kids and cash to burn on toys and products I want. And have told both Patron and G oil I bought their products specifically because of their involvement, Patron directly at a tasting event.
And sorry but the constant worship of marshals as apparently super humans that stop cars with just a look is getting OLD. Just stop pretending the drivers are going to completely listen and observe or we wouldn't have speeding on pit lane, passing under yellow, etc penalties in almost every series. |
