You'd have to put SARD Morand and SMP at the top of the list for withdrawing, so that's four cars, leaving just two reserves.
The big unknown is Nismo of course, but they are still talking the talk at the moment! |

Mat Fernandez said he had heard that Ibanez had been told their second car would get in. That is the last car on the reserve list. I have no idea how accurate that is, of course.

There might be a possibility of reserve list entries being pulled too, I don't quite see Proton for example running a third car. And if that were true, it would leave 5 reserves, and SMP + SARD Morand + possibly an AAI Porsche pulling out would put all of them into the race.

That's true, and the Algarve Pro Ligier has already been pulled from the reserves.

I understand that SMP might not make Le Mans due to the sanctions affecting them, but they have turned up and raced this year and have been testing there new car so I would be surprised if both there cars didn't race.
On the other hand, I don't remember seeing any more information about AAI since the release of the entry list and the SARD/Morand case seems very worrying and so I highly doubt those cars will race at Le Mans |

liked how they had "rotenberg brothers" on the side of their lmp2 car instead of smp racing at silverstone.
if it wasn't for the actual business mess that sard morand are in if the money hasn't turned up, you'd struggle to bet aginst monsieur morand getting one car out for le mans from alternative sources of funding. |

I'm still truly not sure about Nissan. I thought potentially we could see them drop to two cars, but Al Buncombe was testing last night in the P1 car and I'm not sure they'd do that if he wasn't racing at Le Mans. Not sure. I'd hate to see them withdraw completely - but if they've only just begun to be able to finish a stint in testing then that hardly bodes well. |

Would "we're different" Nissan withdrawing completely be worse than AMR-One sort of showin up? IDK
I don't see any reason why the AII couldn't turn up with both, some people have been saying it since beginning but without any real backing. Surely it's the 5 Russian cars + 2 Morand, although the likelihood of G-Drive disappearing is closer to zero. |

So there was no need for the worrying after all.
Apologies to SARD-Morand but compared to what you've let in, your second car will not be missed! |

Revised entry list here: http://www.24h-lemans.com/wpphpFichi...-mans-2015.pdf which shows five reserves (Viper in, and Algrave Pro Racing off the list).

The REAL surprise is that the second Morand P2 is still there.
And 64 cars for Test Day + 1 reserve LMP3 http://www.24h-lemans.com/wpphpFichi...-mans-2015.pdf |

The test day list is interesting.
Not sure how telling it is but the #65 Proton Porsche isn't down, where as the rest of the reserves are. Does the fact that basically all of the reserves are rocking up mean they know they are getting in? And have done for a little while? In terms of names on the list I'd say that's probably our #61 AF Corse line-up confirmed too. Mann/Giammaria/Cressoni. |

It's better to sign up for the test day whether or not you actually end showing up because of the imposed grid limit (especially with LMP3 teams coming in) and the fact that more people are likely drop in 1 ½ months of time. The Viper was long entered before they knew about their official grid spot.
I don't buy that many reserve teams have "known" about it for 'long time' as all the teams in hypothetical danger have still paid their race entry fees after the deadline and show up on these lists. And besides reserve cars have participated in previous years without having any quarantees. They hope to be in, maybe even believe now, but surely don't know for sure. Would've liked to see 4th R18 testing mule again btw Last edited by Deleted; 16 Apr 2015 at 18:21. |

That was only in 2013 and specifically entered to test the new 2014 tires, since the differences between 2013 and 2014 are so major. There's no chance of that until the next major overhaul of the LMP1 regulations.

Did anyone actually expect them to turn up with four cars for 2012? For the race against two Toyotas, I mean really? And even the 2013 test day, yes it was for new regs, but was that expected either? Who's to say that they couldn't bring extra cars for other purposes too, testing different aero configs? Never say never with Audi Unless FIA riggs the participation rules |

I don't recall seeing entry lists for test day appearing 1½ months beforehand either. As I said you don't really lose anything by entering your cars now instead of getting cannibalized by some LMP3 or seventh billionth AF Corse
