The real issue is whether the straights are "long enough", and I would definitely say that the straights at Brno are long enough. Also, the term "straight" is a bit tricky since you can have multiple, shorter straights joined by flat-out bends to make a MUCH longer "straight". Just for reference, the pole lap for the 1988 World Sportscar Championship race at Brno was set by Jean-Louis Schlessor in a Sauber/Mercedes C9/88 at a 1:46.44 (113.54mph).

I think the N24 uses the Mercedes Arena now. Anyway, the old esse is gone at present, and what is there now, if you don't take the arena section, is basically a really tight right/left chicane.

Adria I find tight even with GTs. Misano would work with GTs though.

Vallelunga saw an extension in 2005.

The old GP Circuit is now the International Circuit.

And yes, that is exactly the shortcut at Hockenheim that I was talking about.

Olivier Pla signed with Quifel ASM Team until the end of 2011. The french, besides the LMS program, will also be responsible with the development in other racing programs from ASM Team (mainly, the Spanish GT program).

It's also highly probable that the team will present a third driver for the LMS because of the new 'pro-am' rules.

Isn't there one date missing from the LMS calendar? I thought the FLM guys were going to have a stand-alone race sometime this season.

The Autohebdo article says nothing about the LMS, only Le Mans.

I was of the understanding that Peugeot wanted a privateer to run the LMS season (in addition to LM). Wasn't that the whole point of the exercise?

Oreca confirmed that they will run the Pug also on the LMS, at least at some races...

Full LMS, not some races

Imagine the entrylist of 2010 Spa 1000KM with four 908s(three factories + Oreca), and four Audis(three factories + Kolles)

I doubt that will happen, Peugeot will most likely just bring two cars like last year and so will Audi.

I think three cars for Spa were mentioned in the Midweek Motorsport interview with Dr. Ullrich last night.

To much of the same...
I would preferred 2 Peugeots, 2 Audis, 2 Aston Martins, 2 Oreca, 2 Pescarolos, 2 Domes, 2 Epsilon Euskadi, a bunch of Lolas and Zyteks... and keeping dreaming... 2 BMW, 2 Toyota, 2 Porsches...

... 2 Ferraris...

How many Porsche 956/962s ran at Spa in 85/86? Seemed to be some fabulous racing back then... Just a LOT of competitive cars is fine by me. I don't care if they are all 1 make, or all back street built specials, TBH.

Will Kolles be around? One R10 of them is for sale. Last year was not really such a big success. Of course they do not mind to perform badly in DTM and F3 either.

Will that be a new build car then ?

I believe AMR will be racing 2 examples in the LMS & LM ? I think Harold Primat ownes one of those ?

There is still one available , but that headed for the states to an unnamed buyer ?

Would it be possible to mod the 2008 Charouz chassis or is that not available too ?

There's a difference between the 'destination' of a car and where it may race - An American owner may still opt to have the car raced in Europe. Remeber all of the 2009 were pre-sold - but that doesn't mean they will necessariy be put in a museum, or that they won't!
