Exactly

It's been quite obvious since Sebring Audi has lost the pace of Peugeot, and it doesn't matter how furious "Nishy" gets he won't match them

However Audi's professionalism and reliability makes this year's 24 hour race anyone's despite Peugeot's better pace

Autocon got a faulty engine back from refresh at Judd (severe oil leak). But needed to get their laps in so did not have time to R&R it.

Yes it looks like it!, either he hit a bump in the grass which lifted the car enough to get it airborn, or something broke like it did on Ortelli's car at Monza!
But is it the Porsche curves he crashes in?

Tom also admits, that the newer 908 has a better aerodynamic and weight balance. They are trying all sorts of programs, to find any sort of pace against the Peugeot, but they think that it will be tough.

Moreover, Audi did not drive with slicks between the showers, which of course impacts the times. He claims, that Audi was better in the wets today.

Ofcourse it will be replaced in LMP1, Audi Sport has spend lots of time recruiting young talents into LMP1 program. Money wasted, if they do not replace the R10.

Once the original car has been hologated, it is no big deal.

Audi runs more then 2 cars each season, more like 4 differnt cars and rotates them almost every other race as the previours ones are rebuilt.

Does not Pug have three of the cars? Two to race and a spare

Ive never seen a car do that in the Porsche curves before .

Possibily a result of a part failure , which the rules dont help , since they were told to lighten the car , they probably lightened other areas too .

He was a lucky boy today ..... something needs to be done about the rules . How many big ones have we had this year so far ?

I dont really like ground effect , but maybe its a solution for this flipping stuff , but if flipping is going to happen , sportscar racing as we know it will destroy itself .

Audi will never do that, they will only run the current car, as they did when they switched from R8 to R10. No need to run an incompetitable car with the Audi badge on it.

Furthermore, Audi dont sell their customer cars. The customers only leases the cars, except from one Japanese Le Mans winner. That R8 still sits in Japan

What RLM talked about was that Porsche would step up in Lmp1 and run together with Joest!, and therefor take over the drivers! Porsche own a large part of Audi Ag!

that's the 2nd car destroyed in less than 1 month... Peugeot isn't lucky now...

the gap is really wide between no 8 Peugeot and Autocon in 2nd session... did all they run in a dry track?

Peugot has been good news to the sport, because if you see that they run the R8 for 6 years and the R10 for 3 years, you see thath they dont want to be the last team.

Only this could also be negative because now the Manufactures will invest a lot of money so it would be impossible for privateers to get a good result.

Ahh, that is a theory for you. I was flying kites in the park all day, so I am a bit lagging.

However, I seriously doubt that. Audis efforts is all about commercial branding. However, Audi does not have much more to prove in LMP1 racing, I already thought that last year..

Well whoever designed the aero regs did a great job stopping the cars flipping, unfortunately they now launch when side on.

I guess we'll see some significant changes to the rear wing and sides next year.
