That, and Mr Mostert already had a fair idea what a reasonably-sorted CotF chassis drove like.

It probably helps when the engineer sits in on FPR debriefs!

Did you miss the bit where his superannuation company OWNS the premises?
According to this site, the said premises was sold and leased back.
But not so eh?

Despite the overwhelming criticism and downplay here, DJR are on the rise again, winning the last V8 championship race.

Reminds us when they won the last non-888 championship.

Of course, that wasn't good enough for the knockers back then though; and won't be good enough for the knockers/forum moderators now.

Hopefully DJR's recent uplift in performance will continue furthermore.

Despite Dick's financial Predicament, he's still got the guts to press on, no matter what.

Try to brand Dick's recent efforts as half-hearted, disinterested; well you cannot.
It's all or nothing.
That's how winners roll the dice.
Like it or lump it.
Be a comentator, a nothing nobody, or a winner. An easy decision now in hindsight.

And for all the 'experts' here, I would challenge you to do better than DJR is doing now. And have better experience than 7 championship wins to back it up.

Go DJR.
The last time they won the championship is what almost bankrupted them - they threw their 2011 money into winning the 2010 championship.

Steven himself has said that he and Dick were too far into the background of the running of the team and left it to people they hired. Part of the approach this year has been for both he and Dick to be more involved in the running of the business.

They've made mistakes, they've had people let them down, they've had some bad luck.

But there have been a couple of white knights that have appeared over the past few years that have decided to move away because of certain issues within DJR. They are not blameless for their predicament.

I was as glad as anybody to see Chaz win on the weekend and seeing DJR winning again. DJR is the longest-serving team in the championship and an icon of the sport. I want it to succeed and survive. I wish them the best of luck.

As, quite frankly, does the majority of this forum from what I've read. Some people may have been critical of things they've done, but haven't seen many people death-riding them into oblivion as you're making out here.

Maybe DJR should look at being a feeder team to FPR (or are FPR pulling out) - much like Torro Rosso is to Red Bull in F1...

Attract another marque?

Bought Dick's book today as an early Father's Day gift. At $22, not sure how much of it he'll actually see.

Campbell Little to DJR

Saves FPR the cost of sending Mr Little to Campbellfield on a regular basis most likely...

You sure?
Like any team would mysteriously cut back on spending if the championship was within their clasp.
Got anything concrete to substantiate this?

They most certainly have death-ridden DJR into oblivion, around here. It might all come down to DJR not being able to provide season tickets for favourable comments, I don't know. But it seems for certain they've suffered immeasurably due to the lack of 'favourable' funding.

And how do you exactly speak for the 'majority'?

Pardon me for speaking out of turn, but just lately, Campbell has looked quite pale and washed-out.
