That's already an "old" picture, saw it this morning for the first time.

The black on the sides of the cockpit make it look tall. I like that livery though.

They need all the time and laps they can get for the cars, would be a nice reward for their hard work if both cars can do the distance.
Does anybody have information about how many laps the new car has done so far at Paul Ricard? |

Their tweet on the 24th indicated two new R-Ones for Spa as well, then the entry list was the big confuser! Im sure were all glad to see the lmp1 field of all 2014 cars at Spa, go Rebellion!

I really hope Kodewa shows up with their Lotus so they have some competition. I can't see them staying interested for too many seasons if they are the only privateers. It would be a shame to lose them from LMP1.

Honda has a coupe on hold for p1, maybe another team is interested in that. Then Perrinn may come around as well? They should be on pace with the factories or at least within a second so they can actually challenge! Aco need to make sure this is so.

Greg Pickett would be the perfect candidate if someone could convince him to run in the WEC.

Don't know if muscle milk is sold also in european and asian stores, but if not, Picket will not have any interest to run in a so expensive program like WEC, also with honda support. And I doubt MMPR has still some connection with HPD.

Muscle Milk is sold in Europe, at least at some level. Klaus Graf is the European importer as his "day job", and the branding has appeared on the Rowe Racing Mercs when Klaus has. Whether that's enough to justify the exposure of WEC, I don't know, but it's a start.
While it's true that MMPR might not presently have any special "connection" with HPD/Honda, it's also true that Greg is one of the very few folks willing to stretch a little into his own pockets to run a top-line sportscar these days. That alone should place him top on Honda's list. |

Apart from one-offs like the now-folded LM entry, I don't think Greg is truly interested in running for "and the rest" positions in LMP1-L, or LMP2 either. They both get rather terrible coverage even when comparison to FOX's USCC broadcasts
I just watched the ACO 52' higlights from Silverstone and apart from the rare position run-downs they mentioned LMP2 maybe one or two times when someone went off, and Rebellion when Audi blasted past them. Often it felt as if there were no other cars on circuit apart from six works LMP1s and GTE-PROs Pickett wants to have a chance for overalls... preferably without much opposition too Last edited by Deleted; 30 Apr 2014 at 15:11. |

If a team decided to buy the HPD LMP1 package, it will be in LMP1-H. Since HPD offers the package with a variety of hybrid options, from 2MJ to 8MJ. At least that's what they said.
Perrinn will also be running in LMP1-H. That's what they said. So Rebellion will still be the only competitor in LMP1-L if Lotus doesn't show up and won't show up next year. But I think Rebellion will purchase the hybrid powertrain from Toyota for next year. That also might be the most logical thing to do if they don't want to be the only one in class. |
