It has been up and down all weekend. It was down most of Sunday on my home and work PC. When it can't be found it sends me to www.incredifind.co.uk or something like that. But any other site that I can't find goes to MSN?
Maybe something to do with the hosting? |

I'll check that out Chris.
On Saturday the site was up and down a lot while some work was being done. However, it has been up consistently since Saturday evening as far as I know, and the problems being experienced seem to affect only some, and not all, users. As we've said, the site isn't finished yet and so there is likely to be some occasional planned downtime during the next week. |

Don't worry I understand I remember we had similar issues with Club when that was launched.
I was just keen to see what was going on after doing 2 laps in testing!! |

had the old welded bell housing on and it was leaking oil faster than Everton's defence yesterday. The spare was on another infiniti car that was due out testing today and would not have any time to do the swap anyway so I went back to work - Gutted
Great weather, great racing and first race of the season and had to call Gulf to tell them not to come... a bit embarrassing!! |

I've just noticed that (on my PC) FF1600.co.uk does NOT work but www.FF1600.co.uk does - anyone who is suffering problems may want to try that.

We probably need to amend that, was from an old calendar. We'll get there with minor points eventually.

First you were saying it was International and were told it was Island. Now you're saying it's Fosters and I'll tell you again IT IS ISLAND. The drivers have enough trouble knowing where they're going when they get there and the relevant cones are in position. And if I see a post from you that the meeting is now at Mallory, or Mondello, or Timbuktoo [where Redracer77 will no doubt be at a conference] I'll sqweam and sqweam until I'm thick |

While www.ff1600.co.uk does work OK, ff1600.co.uk does not work. You need to speak with your web host or whoever is looking after the domain management to ensure they point ff1600.co.uk dns entry to the same www address. You might also find out if your host is using a dynamic IP address for your site (more info at site www.dyndns.org). This could be causing your dns resolution problems. |

As I've said, Matt Darcy is looking into that. I use FF1600.co.uk as the branding of the site (and the name of the formula) has capital Fs!

Yes, I'm still hear.Allow me to clear a few things up, although to be honest most of you have got there already.
Whats actually happening is a little frustrating but inevitable. I've not set the default domain dns record (you'll see why in a minute) as the server is currently running on a slow (sorry all) leased line from BT, which runs on a static assigned IP address range, so don't worry no dynamic stuff here. the reason for this is when I took the machine to the datacenter a rack rail broke and its took me a while to get a spare for this machine. So instead of just leaving the holding page up and to provide "some" service I stuck it on my company leased line - which is fine for a small business but not for a production website. the rails are here now so I'll get the machine to the data center where you will have nice fast access. I've not set the default domain record as I want to run the DNS for this domain on the same machine as the site, so that when the lookup occurs it doesn't have to go query another machine for status. However as I'll use this machine to host the dns also so its a self contained unit I didn't want to force an IP address to the default domain so it had to change, its normally quicker to set a domain than to change it as there is no cached records for it. So there you have it folks, I'm still not sure why some of you are having problems as there is a record for http://www.ff1600.co.uk. Keep with us for a short while to sort it out and for the moment always use the full http://www.ff1600.co.uk URL to help us out at the moment. Its better to get some service than none, and I'm running flat out. some nice conent though Last edited by darcym; 21 Mar 2005 at 20:06. |

JOKE, Ian JOKE!
Mr Diz obviously thought I was just trying to confuse his flock by asking why we were running on Fosters - which is what it said on the website! You knew what I was on about but Diz didn't! |
