The SMP #17 is slowly closing the gap with the #3 Rebellion.

But nope, let’s short stint lengths to get the boys in more often to let them do less stuff there. Won’t like the new pit stops rules... |

I fear Toyota will probably have it easy now, provided that they don't screw up. The fact that they have made mistakes shows the threat from the privateers will be a potentially serious one.

Yes, I know.
Yet I feel like I see it happening all over the place and never penalised. That is, a stop and go seems pretty harsh of a penalty when at the same time the commentators casually talk about Toyota running wide basically every time they hit traffic, but that’s ok just as long as you don’t do it every lap... oO, mandatory parts ****ing races up reloaded? |

He was saying how the fia are a bunch of incompetents ..that’s such a BS . A team puts huge amounts of resource and energy to compete and win a race and because somebody else doesn’t do a better job or prepare them self better for this situation . The team is force to lose the race !!!! Just like Toyota at Le Mans .. such bullshit ..

The commentators are debating it, but the damage is on the left side of the Ferrari, so it has to be on the Ferrari being released, not coming in.

No, Martin. That BMW with the blue nose has a big "81" on each side. It's in eighth place.

It's only really the last bit of the straight were you could say the Rebellion has a speed advantage over the Toyota (judging by that one lap).

The Toyota's top speed is actually 320/321 km/h compared to the Rebellion's 312-ish. The official figures don't reflect this because the Toyota is coasting by the time it gets to the speed trap.

I think Rebellion are using a somewhat high DF package.

The pace today seems to match the prologue at Paul Ricard. Ford-Porsche in a class of their own.
I'd like to see Le Mans be much closer. Visibly, the Ferrari and the BMW look well balanced and handling. Nothing a power and weight adjustment can't fix. The Aston leaves something to be desired. The BOP might be off for them, but the car doesn't look all that great on track. |

Almost sounds like Toyota is using the boost out of Eau Rouge on some laps. The top speed was around 325kmh going into the chicane on one lap I saw chasing the Rebellion. They never get that high with just the engine.
