Well if you only drive it for a few events, it's financially more attractive to sell the car.

But strange he couldn't get the budget together coz the intention was there:S

OTOH, isn't there any potential WTCC teams that have the expertise, but not the initial startup money to buy a car?

it would be a better idea to try find such a team . .. cause most likely that alfa is a very competitive car against privateers E46 and the like ..

This might have been posted already, but I'm reading now that the races at Monza will see a rather large number of extra entries, with around 10 extra cars coming in from the Italian championship and several others from various European championships.

I'm really starting to look forward to Monza now

Wiechers Sport has signed Emmet O´Brien and Diego Romanini for 2006 WTCC. Take a look at official WTCC web.

Will Hennerici get a seat for 2006 or like an award he won´t have a racing program?

Confirmed (independant class):
Wiechers Sport - BMW 320i E46 (later in the season probably new E90)
Diego Romanini (ITA)
Emmet O’Brien (IRL)

More details: www.fiawtcc.com

EDIT: You were a little bit quicker

It would be a shame if Hennerici would not be able to defend his title.

Welcome at Ten-Tenths.

As independant or as factory driver?
Will Peugeot enter a 2 car team in the full WTCC season?

I am a little bit concerned Peugeot is not really improving the 407. It's very quiet (no info about testing, etcetera).

Thank you

Peugeot Sport Denmark will drive att Monza with Jens Edman. Jens is ther first driver and propably only Edman will drive WTCC but not for a whole season i think. The team also drive DTC and maybe STCC. I dont know if its a factory team or not but its the same team that drove last year in WTCC and ETCCup. ( Edman drove ETCCup last year)

Autopista magazine reports Mazda will probably replace Ford in 2007 world championship.
Other article says that Alfa Romeo will have like third drivers to Salo and Giovanardi, wasn´t a "pay driver" suggested?

They could perform the same if all they do is slap a Mazda3 bodyshell onto their current WTCC chassis. OTOH, better a slow Mazda3 than no Mazda3 at all!

Great news. I think the Alfa's will still be competative against the factory cars.
