They gotta go to work on helping Ernesto out.

The field concertinered afther the start and I think that things weren't helped by one of the Arden cars, possibly Zaugg, strangely almost stopped at the hairpin which confused cars all about behind him.

Viso would've been preying on these as he made his way up the field a bit more but then people seemed already to be backing off (flags) coming down to the Esses and that's when he vaulted Ammermuller.

Horrible incident.

Hope we can get update quickly.

Further down the lap, Viso hit a slow Ammermuller and flew over the wall in a vertical spin (and I mean, a concrete wall!)...the tub broke down the front half, he just missed some marshals but broke their fire extinguisher (and knocked their chair over).

That's all we've seen. His helmet & HANS were clearly taken off at some point and presumably he's on the way to the medical centre.

Red flag for the clean up.

Well, 'okay's' a bit different to conscious and talking but still that's a good sign.

This one looked even better erm...choreographed?

As for Viso's accident, I caught a few replays on Eurosport and it looked absolutely horrible, with the car rolling on top of the wall... I hope he's alright.

Good news on crash.net
"It was a huge, huge accident," a spokesman for the driver told Crash.net, "Fortunately, Ernesto's father has told me that EJ is uninjured, other than taking a hit to one arm."

The Venezuelan, who only returned to the series with Racing Engineering this weekend, is also understood to have suffered a concussion, but is otherwise unharmed.

Nice win for Pantano. Some good and sloppy moves here and there, mostly on dead tyres since everyone had pitted on lap 2.

Now hopefully for some good news on Viso. Early reports above all sound promising.

Great move by Bruno on the last lap. He seems to be very good at looking after his tyres.

Shame that Conway was spun around by his team-mate. After that he drove very well.

Great news that Ernesto is reasonably okay. He was lucky that the car seemed to spin along the top of the wall and didn't flip.

Had its moments but a fairly dull race at the front?

Yes, Pantano looked strong and dominated, Di Grassi equally surefooted in 2nd.

Maldonado, was it just tyres that did for him, net loss in last 10 laps was something like 40 seconds dropping him from 3rd to 10th!!

Senna drove a great race looked after tyres nicely and set Filippi up a beauty on the last lap!

I agree that Conway drove a stormer.

Should be a cracker tomorrow morning.

Sev has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
After the restart it turned into a fairly dull race. The only interesting thing was people losing tyres as time went on and what happened because of that.

I feel really sorry for Conway. Hopefully next year will go better for him.

Anyway, decided to try and work out the points so far. Here's the top ten now:
Code:
1. Glock	39
2. Filippi	26
2= di Grassi	26
4. Senna	24
5. Pantano	19
6. Maldonado	12
7. Lapierre 9
8. Garcia 8
8= Villa	 8
10. Zuber 6

Frightening. Same thing came into my head. Thankfully a happier outcome.

Also shows how little work the FIA have done on the single seater launching into orbit type crashes. Surely the NASCAR type air brakes would do some good.

The marshals were so lucky. Don't think they had any protection?

Disaster for Adam Carroll getting the black flag, for driving past the pit exit red light.

If Conway had a great race, then how was Villa's?! Great that Viso is ok, second time lucky after Kubica's smash at Canada.
