F1 isn't about manufacturers, its about advertising. With a little sunday drive thrown in. Half the current teams are not run by manufacturers (but do have owners with large pockets.) It's about brand awareness and that is what pulls in the money from sponsers and the goverments who want to host events. If the sport was profitable purely from prizemoney, there would be 300 cars rocking up for pre-qualifying and a 72-year old collecting unemployment.

Bernie's comments were along the lines that certain right wing authoritarian idiots are OK. He named Saddam, Maggie Thatcher , and Adolph He doesn't get around to including left wing dictators like Joe Stalin . At least there is no pretense with him. He seems to be declaring his disinterest in democracy as a conservative, not like some others we could name, who make claims to be interested in hearing from the individual while their actions say otherwise. I'd love to know what Bernie 's kind would have done if Hitler had won WW2? We'd probably all be living in a termite colony now?
