CombeMarshal should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The portugese driver that was involved in that 'Incident' also crashed in front of me at Thruxton, Funny that he learn't perfact english between Thruxton and Croft, wouldn't listen to me at all, even when I told him it was a twenty minute walk back to the paddock and there was only 5 mins left of the race!

That's so you can't hear the other guys knuckles crunching as they break

Seriously though, this can happen at anytime, I've come close to having a few "punch-ups" between riders at bike meetings, but hasn't ever got any further than a few explitives.

I generally find a firm hand on the chest of the competitor and a few words like "Calm down mate, if you want to make an official complaint, go and see the Clarke of the Course when you get back to the paddock". Only to find that as they are loaded into recovery at the emnd of the race, it's all calmed down, they shake hands and apologies are offered and accepted.

I find it better than grabbing tham and dragging them away, that can make them worse.

If they are fighting on the side of the track tell them You will red flag the race if they don't brake up imediatly and that will cost them loads!

Just released by the MSA

Joao Vasconcelos – Assault
On referral, the Court ordered Formula Renault UK Championship driver Joao Vasconcelos to serve a suspension of 30 days – suspended on condition of good behaviour during the next 12 months.

Vasconcelos had assaulted another driver, Stian Sorlie, at the side of the track after their cars had retired following a collision in a race at Croft on 16 July. As Sorlie extricated himself from his car, Vasconcelos approached and pushed him several times. This was not a ‘fight’, his defence said. It also claimed that Vasconcelos was not reacting to the collision, blame for which was later apportioned to Sorlie. Instead, he was provoked by Sorlie who had made a middle finger gesture.

Vasconcelos had already served a 30-day suspension from competition as punishment for his actions. He was also ordered by the Court to pay £750 in costs.

Hang on, what does Sorlie get for provoking Vasconcelos?

Play nicely, children!

Missed it on TV, sounds like professional marshals 1, unprofessional drivers 0.

Reminds me of a Formula Woman race at Pembey last year. Two cars that had been dicing all race took each other off at Dibeni, drivers got out and ran for the banking. Big hugs and they watched the rest of the race together!

While their male counterparts participate in handbags at dawn. Bit of role reversal here with girls showing the little boys how to behave.
