Well let's hope they sort it; it would be a very welcome addition to this series.

Supposedly this series is being revived as the Blaincpain Revival Series. From the SRO web site:

"Blancpain Revival Series -
In addition to the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo, Stephane Ratel unveiled the Blancpain Revival Series, a link with the recent past that will allow enthusiastic amateurs to have their own place within the Blancpain Endurance Series meetings. It will be a series reserved for GT cars which raced between 1994 and 2004 and will be co-organised with a promoter specialising in historic cars. An innovative format with free practice, qualifying and a 45-minute race all taking place on the Saturday of each meeting".

2004 is now "historic"!

Well, 1994 is anyway. 17 years ago, I was a (relatively) young(ish!), OK middle aged, man!

Seriously, this could be an interesting series if it attracts the right cars out!

Ouchy! That won't fix with a bit of Belzona. Sounds like an interesting series, I loved watching these cars when they were current FIA series cars, and true to form a Porsche won after everything else failed, lol. I guess a Jag 220 and cars like the Panoz Esperante GTR1, Mercedes CLK GTR1 and Porche GTR would also be eligible, if anyone had the motivation to wheel one of these homologation busters out of their museum.
