I'll be thinking of you down in 4A wishing I was at 4.

Then it was MacLeod and Tandy at it - the 49th second of that same race/clip. I thought one of them was more at fault than the other. But that's just a personal opinion. Anyway, I think I'll be OK as long as Dan Cooke is far away from me. (sorry Dan....but) |

This is the first FFF I have missed since I started marshalling. The reason I won't be there is the same reason EP and Grant won't be there. I hope the rest of you enjoy the weekend.

I think I know what reason you mean Steve. The official in question may drive even more marshals away. You'll still see me at Brands for other clubs meetings though. |

Sadly the incident in question made me decide never to marshal another BRSCC meeting. That's a shame as they were the club that got me involved in marshalling originally. Jon Nicol is sorely missed.

Yes, even though i'm from the North West, BRSCC (SE) was the first club I joined and was my primary club up till last year.
Any way, any news on how the first day went? |

started with
Caterham, caterham, caterham then Freddie Hunt go bang into tyre wall - 2nd window taken out of post 3's palace. Tandy faster than MacLeod. Really hope he (Tandy) wins it this year, I mean last year was one of the greatest drives ever seen , shame about passing under the safety car, but even so. (personal opinion, no bias) then Caterham, caterham, caterzzzzzzzzzz Weather absolutely brilliant for racing, marshal numbers a bit low, but we managed, off to day two now. |

Oh dear, the window! I hope they are not going to send me an invoice for the other window that went in the Final. I had only shut that one a few minutes before when Knap went off big time. If I had left it open it would have been okay.
Otherwise not a bad weekend overall, shame that somehow brandspost4a wasn't too pleased after I kept sending the cars towards him. But he got his revenge in the end. I'll switch the magnet off next time Chris, honest! |

Yep, great weekend, worth the long trip 'darn sarf' from 'ap norf'. I love Brands, wish I lived nearer (and the natives are freindly too!)
Thanks to Chris and Sue and all the rest of the hard working crew on 4a for putting up with me. I think it was 26 in,through or around on Sunday and somewhere in the region of 60 for the whole meeting and has got to be the busiest 3 days marshalling i've ever done. Highlight of the weekend was the Kent final. The best FF race i've seen since pre Zetec days. Shame it had to end in reds. See you all for the 2008 festival (and hopefully before) |

I was on 4a with Stack - only the second time I have ever done that post and it was a busy Sunday but a great way to end my 2007 season. The weather was amazing and the racing wasn't bad either!! Got to "meet" quite a few drivers and all seemed very calm considering the way some had arrived with us. Good to meet you Stack and maybe I will see you at The Rock next season as well as back at Brands

Shame that the Sunday ended with a little acrimony, Clerk's Disciplinaries, Protest and Appeals, and then Stewards enquiries! Ah well! that's Motor Racing! But overall great weekend, and brilliant weather (for October!) We know how to make those Northerners welcome!! Great to see you!
