There's also the "Well I did this meeting last week at Mallory" scenario.
Some might have to work, or have other valid reasons that they can't come. As Peter has previously stated, Mallory has the attraction of being the first meeting of the year for many.....and a new race control building to recci plus those breakfasts!! |

What does the Donington diner open for breakfast?? Normally after we are required on post time..... IMO. Long may the 750MC reign as the best club. See you all at Mallory and Donington (bites tongue) |

I'll be there on Saturday. I haven't registered yet with anyone though!
I know a lot of people have a downer on Donington, but I've always enjoyed my time there (except endurance). I guess I'm relatively local so the later finishes have less of an impact. |

There is absolutely nothing wrong with marshalling at Donington!
If you don't want to marshal after 6pm then don't! I have done it before and I know of others as well. It's not a good idea just to walk off post, but by letting the relevent people know of your intention, this is not usually a problem! THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO THE CLERK OF THE COURSE!!! |

As Chief Obsever for 750 Motor Club i would like to say that we also do not like late finishes, and will do all we can to avoid this if possible.
Running a little over is always possible, and we will usually apologise when this happens, which i suspect other clubs may not. Donington will be a good meeting so if anyone can assist who has not yet volunteered we would be happy to see you, just contact myself, or Peter Harding. Regards Pete |

The Pit Stop Diner usually opens quite early, and myself and the old git normally get a brekkie before the start ... Unless there is a briefing!!! We will be doing as many 750 as we can this year, and wish they were in the area more. We have some of our best days with them F.Y.I. the Donington finishes havn't been that bad for the past few years, and BARC have shown some of the other clubs up with their organisation. Well done to the both of them. It will be intersting to see how the lack of the Black and Yellow affects all finish times (not a problem for BARC!). |

If the action continues like it was at Mallory, then should be cracking meeting - lets hope the weather improves though.

Sorry, didn't mean to stir up something controversial, I just thought it was interesting! I suspect that many of the 'missing' names will be on the Donington ES record, as I'd misread the original message from Peter, thinking that was the grand total not just his list.
Anyway, I'll shut up, 'cause I couldn't go this week-end whether I want to or not... |

Ones to watch out for on the entry list.Andy Sterling returns to Kit Cars and the Steve Taylor, Matthew Lewis battles from last year.
Locost front runner from 2003 Tim Grey now in R,G,Bs.And of course any of the 80 Stock hatches The best race might be the Caterhams of Martin Stewart and Peter Ratclif. A good weekend in prospect. |

How happy am I that I'm in the travelodge this weekend, rather than the tent!!!
http://uk.weather.com/weather/local/UKXX0040 links to Derby, rather than the London's forecast in observers message. If we had Londons sunshine & showers it would be nice, but the sunshine may be stopped somewhere on the way north See you all at the weekend, Al. |

I can't believe we're arguing about the bloody weather!
Donington is in Leicestershire, with a Derby Telephone Code and Postcode (DE74 not DE4 as I said before) and is next to Nottingham Airport. Good job we're not foreigners!! |

We're British we have to talk about the weather it's in the stereotyping...
Anyway looking forward to close racing again from 750MC after Malllory. As for reaching the wall the hot hatchs most be high on the odds esp with wet grass |

Any truth in the rumour that they're going to set up a drinks station half way across the Old Hairpin gravel trap?

Going back to the weather, 750MC have spare wet weather gear (limited amount), just ask at sign on if anyone needs it, coats and leggings.
