Who cares!! I'm playing GP4 now and it's GROOOOVY. Though I'm still digging the rather underrated NASCAR2002 though.

Um, yeah it's great. Apparently it is/was the "most accurate driving sim in terms of physics ever made". I can't remeber who said that, but it's a Papyrus game, so I doubt it not....

GP4 is better if you want the experiance the whole weekend "feel". I.E. the television screens, and engineers. But if you want to have a better physics model, then go for F1 2002. Plus the addons for the EA series are fantastic (now that I have an acceptable comp). I.E. FIA GT and the ALMS GT and the Lemans prototype to name the sportscars. And mods coming for 77' F1 94' and 95' F1 and F3000, to name a few. Along with a CART addon.

After F1 2000 I havent bought any EA games, it was far too arcade. GP3 feels far more realistic.

GP4 is miles better than GP3, but as I've said, I can't really compare it with F1-2002. Oh, for both I'd imagine you'd need a fairly hefty system to run it!

Everytime I've looked at an EA F1 game I've shook my head in disgust and uninstalled it after 5-10 minutes.

I even downloaded the F12002 demo to see what it was like but could not believe how bad it was.

Also, after being shafted with EA Sports V8 Challenge it will be a very long time before I purchase another EA Racing Sim.

Well, I've just gotten GP4. So far so good I must say. Though the system requirements seem to be quite steep (I hope to have my new PC by thursday). I'm still getting the hang of some thgings like the new car setup layout but I guess I'm a bit lost because I'm already used to the GP2-GP3 layout.

What are the minimum specs? I'm fairly certain my PC won't handle it, so I'll be waiting for the Xbox version, due in August sometime.

GP4 is aweful. Certainly not going to waste good money on it.

I've got pretty close to the recommended - P111 667, 128RAM, 32mb video and I'm off to the computer man for some upgrades. There's either something wrong with my setup or you want a considerably better computer than mine! GP3 runs fine, but GP4 is hopeless.

I had a quick go on it in my local Rip Off World (aka PCWorld), and I must say I very very impressed, it was so smooth and the graphics where spot on

I don't know if I'll bother with it, given the disappointment of GP3 and it subsequently refusing to run on my PC... F1 2002 is better than F1 2001 except for the framerate which is worse, and the little niggles with the AI and weather and flags still remain...

MF, if you can run it get GP4. The AI is worth it alone. You genuinly have to fight it out with the cpu cars to get position, its fantastic!!

I prefer the look of F1 2002. GP4 is too blocky for my liking. GP3 was better looking when it first appeared.

with the right PC GP4 is so smooth ...probally more to do with the hardware rather than the software .

Is GP4 even available in the US? It and all of the other GP games cannot be found anywhere!

Sato san, go for the nVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti 4600. It does cost quite a lot of money though.

FastJoel31; I think its being released in the states later this year. If not go to a British web site and get them to send it out to you.

OK, a question for the computer experts.

I'm purchasing a new computer (has nothing to do with GP4 ) and I want to be sure that its will handle GP4 now and in the future (when all the add-ons come).

PENTIUM 4 2.0 GHz W/512 CACHE
RAM 512MB 168PIN DDR RAM
M/B MSI 6533 SOCKET478 333MHZ,DDR, VGA W/SC
VGA EAGLE 64MB GEFORCE 4 MX440 W/TV

Now I have little to no idea what the all means. Can someone tell me if this is good/bad whatever or suggest anything I need to change/upgrade before I purchase?

I dont think it matters, but it will have an 80gb hard drive and windows 98 or XP (I'm leaning towards 98).

Thanks in advance guys,

WREX
