Williams FW14, FW16, and FW18, '67 Ferrari 312, Honda RA300 for most attractive.
McLaren MP4/5, McLaren M23, '95 Forti F1 and Williams FW07 for most boring... |

I prefer the mid-70's cars, just before and slightly into the ground effects era.
My faves: Lotus 72D Lotus 79 BRM P160, P106C P160D BRM 201 The original Ferrari 312B, their first monocoque from 1973 that drove Ickx away form the team it was so diabolical. Its a shame he didn't hang in there as a year later, both Reggazoni and Lauda were so sublime. Ensign N177-a tidy elegant little car. Brabham BT44 Since the narrow-track, grooved-tired, high-cockpitted cars of the late 90's, they're all kind of dull and too much of a same. Ferrari 158 with which Surtees won the WDC in '64 was also a very sweet car... which reminds me that all the 1.5 Litre cars from the early 60's were lovely, the Loti #'s 25 and 33 being the sweetest. |
