Weirdo........I think I am a tall 6'2, but racing boots have very little sole, which may explain it!

actually its often difficult to judge ..when I was living in Chicago I bumped into Dennis Rodman (Chicago Bulls basketball player at the time) and I didnt feel particularly short compared to his 6'6"

Gary Critcher should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Scott, this year has been my first year in Historic FFord (visit www.yesterdaysracers.com to see some of my experiences). I restored my car over four years, I wanted to do single seaters rather than tin tops too. Historic FFord was the 'only' way in that I could see. Sure it's expensive to initially get ahold of a car, but after that the running costs are really not bad at all (it all depends on how many times you manage to throw the car at the scenery! Have you done muuch racing already?? And of course, it's bluddy good fun!!!
Best Regards, Gary C

Scott i know you want a Macon but you very rarely see them up the front apart from in Pauls hands imagine how he would go in a Merlyn or a Lola.
HFF's are cheap to run but hold their expensive price v well.
You will however have as much fun in a newer FF1600 as my wife does for a fraction of the outlay on the car,You can also race where ever you want including some european tracks(with the right liscence).
No doubt you would even get an invite from the scouse cake eater Diz to race in the NW FF1600 series.

Bit of an exaggeration Jay, but not far off. You can get an RF 90 for 6500, which will be right on the pace. As I said, its a cheaper place to hone your skills cheaply.

Yeah your probably right, I did, but I got eaten alive for the first season! Super classic is mega cheap, plus theres loads of people to help you, and the bits are cheap.

Liscence needs a test called ARDS which you have to do at a race school, this involves a theory test which if you've managed to drive to the ciruit you should pass .
The application pack from the MSA costs around 38 pounds
Not sure on circuit test cost as it can vary.
