I was unaware as to how strictly this rule was policed. Isn't there 25 franchises (which is more than the current field), or were some sold back to CCA?

Maybe this will mean Jimmy has to keep driving until young Clayton Richards is ready to take over.

Ok, I admit I hadn't seen that one. I don't remember it being in MNews.

Ellery was definately in discussion with PCR for the V8 gig, but am not sure if they had talks about the Porsche. I presume they did and when bringing money along was mentioned he walked.

I have been told he will drive for Sherrin anyway. it seems reasonable enough as a friend of mine suggested he was doing quite a bit of Driver Training this year and Sherrin are heavily involved in that side of things, so it would seem a perfect fit.

From what i have been told Ellery did not want to sit out another year only doing the enduros. He apparently had spoken to quite a few Supercar teams re getting a drive. Driving for Sherrin makes more sense than PCR as PCR's books seem to be full.

Dont know who your sources are Deano, but they are wrong about Ellery. He has definately signed a deal with a Carrera Cup team. Although there has been no announcement official, I know this is a done deal. Which team I have not had 100% confirmed but I have mentioned what I have been told a couple of posts above.

As for Tratt and Fernandez, I have no idea.

The powder room has suggested that Mr Tratt is quite busy enjoying his role as Toll's man on the ground at HSVDT.... and that last year's Bathurst shunt suggested to him that unless you are in the drivers seat full time.. its a hard old slog to come out in the enduros and play....

Mr Fernandez was required to have a seat in some series or other as part of his contract with Britek. Presumably Britek are also running the Porsche too...

Yes, every round will have at least 1 race shown live every round plus a 30 minute highlight package the following week.

Confirmed in MNews today.

It shall be interesting to see how he adapts to the left hand drive, sequential gearbox, low COG, stiffly sprung etc Porsches............. Quite a different beast to a V8Supercar.

Interesting to see Mr Fitzgerald is trying to source a driver for his car for the season... interested parties require '$200k+".....

Sounds a bit like the Super Tourer he drove for a number of years.

Apparently Sherrin Motorsport went testing at QR yesterday with all 3 cars. Dave Russell apparently the fastest and Ellery hot on his heals. Steve's car suffered some sort of mechanical problems during the day hindering his test and limiting his track time. Shaun Juniper also continued to improve.

This is the teams last test before Adelaide from what I have been told.

I also have been looking for one and cant find it anywhere. Obviously Ellery is in the #19 Sherrin Car although I beleive it wont have Sherrin Motorsport on it this year.

As far as the other TBC's are concerned I dont know?

Unusual list of entrants, e.g Rod Jane not Sonic &/or Bob Jane T Marts - Rod owns the franchises.
