Seems like the teams lobbying has worked and Moscow has been dropped in favour of a round at the Algarve circuit in Portugal:

Algarve is more of a F3 track than Moscow will ever be. Hats off to the British teams lobby.

Thank god, Moscow iirc was horrifically boring last year and considering the political state of the country, as well as quality of racing, Algarve is a much better option!

The timetable of this weekends even was strange, 1 race lunch time on the Friday, 1 race mid morning on the Saturday, 1 race late afternoon on Sunday.
Rosenqvist looks the man to beat but Leclerc was really impressive in the final race. Fortec struggling at the moment. |

Disappointing weekend for George Russell, it all seemed to go wrong in qualifying and he never really recovered from it. He has experience of Pau from his FR2.0 Alps campaign so hopefully he can bounce back next time out.
l had high hopes for Leclerc coming into the season but I didn't think he'd be doing so well so early on. His career record so far is brilliant - 15 podiums from 26 car races, including 4 race wins. Surely if he can keep up this form and consistency he'll start turning the heads of Red Bull/Mercedes/McLaren/Lotus etc. and the people in charge of their junior driver programmes? Quote:

Gustav Malja will race for Eurointernational at Pau, filling the seat vacated by Kirchhofer. The entry list features Beer as his teammate, so I'm assuming he's recovered from his injuries, which is good to see.

I'm not sure his back would taste a contact against Foch Corner.

French F4 and Formula Renault 2.0 Alps will be the other single-seaters but there is Caterham R3000 and Twingo Cup as well.

Top 3 in a different league.
Fittipaldi out of the weekend with a hand injury. Didn't start race one and has DNQed for the next 2 as well... |

Is the FIA going to make some changes or just keep ignoring this? Giovinazzi keeps up his podium streak as well. |

Notice Motopark, in just their second meeting back at this level excluded from Hockenheim for illegal fuel after a "mix up" - old habits die hard eh?

Giovinazzi wins the Pau Grand Prix!
Fairly sure that Dennis' problems were related to him running wide and hitting the barrier slightly when Giovinazzi went through. Something broke then!!! |

His engine cut out twice after being passed by Giovinazzi, and was lapping considerably slower as Antonio caught him. I reckon it was a problem with his engine.
As great as he has been this weekend, I found Dennis staying on track with whatever problem he had really stupid. Cost Lorandi 2 places and Macleod 3 places when his car cut out and ended up finishing 22nd so what point was there to it anyway? |

Damaged suspension from lap 2, snapped with 5 minutes to go according to Dennis. Bad luck there...

And now he's got a five-place grid penalty for Monza after his collision with Sam MacLeod.
