Could be that we see the following teams full-time:
- Russian Bears Motorsport - F458 Italia - Leipert Motorsport - Lambo Gallardo And maybe these extra race-by-race entries: - Zolder: GPR Aston Martin (1x), DB Motorsport Z4 (1-2x) - Zandvoort: DB Motorsport Z4 (1-2x). And maybe another Audi. - Middle East: Schubert Falcons Z4, BlackFalcon SLS |

Some teams are last year GT3 teams entries, and good renowned teams, without more info this keeps just as pure speculation.

PRO GT by Almeras ART Grand Prix Sport Garage SOFREV Auto Sport Promotion Sainteloc Racing ...and perhaps Hexis as a little bit of practice before debuting at Monza? Also, I can see Marc VDS, Boutsen Ginion, and KRK for Zolder and/or Zandvoort. |

Maybe its been announced previously and I missed it but I just realized one of the Loeb McLarens will be driven by Loeb/Parente. This has to be one of the early favorites for the championship.

Matheus Strumpf came over to Europe last year to drive with Rodrive with a Ford GT in the Spanish championship with Rui Lapa. At the end of 2012 Strumpf signed an agreement with Rui Lapa to manage his career in Europe. Both will share one of the Fords this season.

Always enjoyed the GT1 series over the last few years, but this year with Sebastien Loeb driving a McLaren MP4-12C, as well as more drivers and teams and hopefully the same wheel to wheel action, this is going to be a spectacular season.
Hope this new venture for the FIA GT series pays off. |

Over the 3 years it existed GT1 did provide probably some of the most exciting competitive racing action around. I dont think we can argue with that part.
I have seen quotes from many of the drives saying it was the most competitive series they have driven in. E.g. “In terms of pure racing, it is one of the best series, if not the best, I’ve ever been involved in. You had to drive pedal to the metal from the first lap to the last.” Lucas Luhr (JRM Racing 2011) Unfortunately there is just not the money to keep an "all pro" GT series travelling around the world at the moment. Hopefully this will put the championship back on its feet and the field will still be close and there wont be any team/driver combos too far off the pace. That would be my only worry when you hear one lineup will be Loeb/Parente but others could be far less experienced. |

2010-2011 driver´s quality was impressive with tops like Luhr, Westbrook, Turner, Krumm, Martin, Grosjean or Bertolini. In 2012 there was a big drop in the quality.
I love sprint GT races, but we need good drivers behind the wheel. Why not some kind of invitations to young drivers from F3/WSR/GP3/GP2 without seat? |

I wonder if those of us in the US will get to watch it this year.
I think they un-blocked a few of the races for us last year a few months after they happened, but knowing that I couldn't watch all of them, and having to wait and avoid the results for so long, I just lost interest. Same with the Blancpain series. |

But, no, really, I had no problem viewing them in the U.S., so that's bizarre. |

I had the same problem. I still haven't seen half of the 2012 GT1 season, nor any of the GT3 races after Navarra. I also, haven't gotten to see the 2012 Blancpain race from the Nurburgring yet either.

Now that JRM will focus more on the Nissan GT-R GT3 programm instead of LMP1, it could be a possibilty to see them entering in the Fia GT Series again offcourse if theirs money.
Also now the ADAC GT Masters has a maximum limit of entries, we could also see some teams go to the 'new' Fia GT Series. |

Anyway Sunred never had 2 Ford GT's in the end, but Sunred's team manager promised two at algarve, check it at gt1 youtube channel. I asked the same thing about the Vantage V12's last year, in the end Sunred/Ford GT weren't last.. Last edited by urdragon; 19 Jan 2013 at 22:17. |
