Bennett Fan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I could do with some tongue and groove sent to me to finish off my bathroom panelling.

John Batchelor should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi spoonerboro, never mind!! we welcome fans wherever they come from!! I need all the help I can get. I'm sure that we can convert some of the sceptics over the course of the next year or two. My lips are of course sealed on the subject of next year....but I think that we as a team might surprise a few people!!!

John, have you seen the new Integra Type-R yet? It's one stunner and it is 4.3m in length - so you can run it in BTC Touring.

Next year are you running a Skoda?

PS - I've still that interview to do with you, Mr B&Q.

I am a member on both forums but I don't get time to post alot on either because of work commitments. I think it's unfair that you slag off the other forum though. To be fair, you lot on here have been very defensive when somebody from the other forum has come on here and posted. I myself have been a victim of your *****ing when I mentioned BTCCPages.com. It even led to you clamping down on advertising. In my eyes it wasn't advertising, it was simply making other motorsport fans aware that there is a great little site out there which is dedicated to the BTCC.

I don't want this is get into a 'them and us' debate. A4, can I suggest you read though some of the threads on the other forum and see what sort of reaction there is any time ten-tenths.com is mentioned.

Let's just say that there a several other forums to discuss touring cars, all of which have their own supporters, and leave it at that.

yeah its a bit like sunderland vs newcastle hatred vivals - but at the end of the day both love motorsport so like redshoes said its best to be left alone - or like so many tyneside derby matches could end up with people in tears!!

Redshoes, I regularly read their forum and I have NEVER seen a bad reaction toward this forum. In fact, you are never mentioned. It appears to me that you have the problem with them and not the other way round.

Don't know about the camping pass, but it might be better if Lorna promised NOT to give me a sausage for it!! (Only joking Lorna, I'm sure that your cooking will be up to its usual standard....oh dear did I really mean that!)

A4, there has always been a "no advertising policy" on here at all times. This is not pointed purely at you. Recently, people have been mentioning sites more and more which is why it was needed to remind people of the rules. If you are in doubt about this then please read the FAQs again which will only reiterate what has been said. It's not just pointed at one site, it is all sites. If people wish to advertise or recommend a site then there is a forum called Cool Sites for this. This reminder goes to all people posting here.

You will also have to appreciate that there are some people that have been posting on 10 Tenths for a long time and are dedicated people to this site and feel a sense of loyalty to us. It is not intended for the webmaster or anyone that helps runs things at 10 Tenths that they post threads that '*****' about other forums or sites as we do not attach puppet strings to them. This thread in particular is about alot of dedicated John B&Q fans. We have met the guy and have the utmost respect for him (John - don't read this, your head will get too big!) because he has had the time to chat to us online and in person. It is purely human nature that if brought to the 10 Tenths members attention any bad words said about John that they will jump to their defensive lines for him.

Anyway, back to the light sense of humour that seems to appear in John B&Q threads.

Have you been having nightmares about sausages John? (I am!) There seems to be a fixation here I am not going to stick up for myself here or blame the work tools I was given to perform the task but simply invite you to another bbq to not prove my skills but cook as I usually do which should prove otherwise (oh god! what have I said!)

Thank you very much for not rising to Spooner's response and keeping it clean

Even if other people ignored it, I am curious about next year...

I still reckon he'll be in Touring Class running something like a Skoda for the fun of it. Hey, theres another VW manufacturer that could enter the ETCC, then the BTCC, though I think SEAT is top of the touring car list at VWs headquarters.

Can manufacturers change the body shell so they could build, say, a VW for one championship, and put say a Skoda body on the same chassis for another championship?

I believe that the Skoda Octavia already runs on the Audi A4 chassis.

Anyway, after a conversation I had with John at Brands, I suspect that he is looking with envious eyes at a Lexus.

Clearly he wants a bit of comfort in his old age

Oh and Lorna, forget Sausages and try Bacon! Much less complicated

I have tried bacon. That is fatty too. Flames engulfing bbq and the grass around it is not good news But I have BBQ grill trays now!

Lorny, you should know by now that everything good in life is either illegal, immoral, or it makes you fat
