How many cars has Jeremy (a) said he was going to buy, (b) bought, (c) sold and finally (d) racing laps competed in over the last five years?

youngoldy has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Saw the Comtec Duratec today in the Manufactures Pavillion today, and very nice indeed. Sidepods alot narrower in real life than on the shots. The damper cover is not from a Mygale, the photo is not clear enough. The car looks very streamlined, and has a nice chimney on both sidepods. I will add some photo's when I can get them of my phone. The people I went with todday would say the car would make a very decent Kent spec, and I wont be surprised to see up at the front this year.

And interestingly enough, Acer Motorsport had a sticker on the car...

Thanks for that, I presume the management system requires more power than the kent engines and the simplest way to maintain voltage is to use the wee alternator. Is it driven by the gearbox?

Its driven by the driveshaft (via a pulley sandwiched between the CV joint and the gearbox drive), and yes, a fair amount more power required due to management and fuel injection.

Had a good look round it too....very nice looking. Pods look good very aero but those chimneys are a joke the rear of the pods is twice the area of the front so why have them? Top of the front is curved down bottom flat thus giving a bit of lift too! Need fitting upside down.

Acer Motorsport do have 2 chassis on order as we speak.

Jamie Jardine will run the 1st with a driver for the second to be confirmed.

More info is availble on our website www.acermotorsport.com

According to a Finnish website, Comtec have built a biodiesel powered car for a new Greek series that should start this year.

Exactly the same as the printed version of Autosport suggested. However, nothing is known about this over here and the person mentioned as contact is not involved in Greek motorsport.
