JACOB RACING Testing is well under way, due to some reason or another, the team have decided to run Vauxhall/Lotus Carltons, with all the cars sporting Mobil One Liveries. Team Manager, Nickyf1, tried out the car at the opening test day on the Norschleife. 'this car is awsome, great handling, but takes skill to drive.'

JACOB RACING - OFFICIAL LIVERY LAUNCH
It was a crisp, cold day at the legendary Nordschleife, as the Jacob Racing teaam rolled out the fully liveried Carlton for the first time... 'The Mobil 1 Livery just looks amazing on this car' said nickyf1. The team evaluated a number of different cars, including the Audi S4 and the Vauxhall Monaro VXR after the VXR8 plan was shelved. |

MONGRELPUNT MOTORSPORTS OFFICIAL 2008 LAUNCH 2008 will see the launch of the Mongrelpunt Motorsports empire, with a view to shake up the competition in all forms of fantasy motorsport. And as part of this shake up, Mongrelpunt Motorsports would like to unveil its group of young, up-and coming drivers to spearhead their campaign in the 2008 V8 Supercar Fantasy Championship. Driving the brand new #5 VE Commodore will be young gun Mark Winterbottom, who with the support of gaming giants X-Box 360, will lead the team into 2008. A very excited "Frosty" has shown the ability and skills in the past few seasons to be a real title condenter in 2008. Along side Winterbottom will be 2nd year driver Shane Price, who will pilot the #3 3 Mobile Commodore, and series newcomer Tony D'Alberto, who will saddle up the #8 JB Hi-Fi Commodore. With the Clipsal 500 less than 3 weeks away, Mongrelpunt Motorsports assures all sponsors, fans and the media that the 3 brand new VE Commodores will be ready when the flag drops in Adelaide, despite the team unveiling the new liveries on the old VY Commodore bodies. |

ALL-AMERICAN RACERS SUBMITS ENTRY INTO 2008 V8 SUPERCAR FANTASY CHAMPIONSHIP!
AAR is glad to be back! After our best season in our short career last year, we are back, better than ever! The drivers that will be contesting for the championship for us this year will be Mark Winterbottom, and Paul Dumbrell. They will be driving the General's finest, the Commodore. We have built six chassis at our Mooresville, North Carolina raceshop, and they are ALL brand new. Chassis AAR01 will be piloted by Frosty, number 64, with Target sponsorship. Dumbrell will drive AAR02, number 0, with Sprint branding. We hope they will show everyone how it is done, and score us numerous podiums, and hopefully a few wins! At our testing facility, Daytona International Motor Speedway, we've found out that the car handles VERY well on their infield road course, and has a very high terminal speed around the oval track - about 310km/h. "The car is amazing!" Frosty said, "when I was running the combined oval/road course, I had to get used to the transitions from the banking to the road course. The car did it wonderfully, never getting out of shape on the transitions. I have a good feeling about this year." As ever, AAR will have our famous (or infamous, depending on your situation there) paddock parties. We used to only have them at the Enduro's, however, we will be having them at EVERY event this year! On Friday night of the race weekend, wander on over to the AAR area of the paddock, entry is free to everyone, and we WILL be having fun. Here's to a great 2008 season everyone! Quote:
-Matt Wood Team Principal - All-American Racers. PS - Thanks to Antrodemus for setting this up once again! PPS - Liveries will be released soon. |

If you check last year's results there's another reason too
It honestly doesn't matter though. You can give your cars any number you like. I think I recall someone using #0000 one year... |

Looks like we have another nicky. Except, instead of liveries, it's team lineups.

APE announces Entry into 2008 V8SCFC
Axeman Performance Engineering announces its slightly anticipated entry into the 2008 V8SCFC, through its newly formed subsidiary Axeman Performance Racing (APR). The team has secured backing from Ford and Major sponsors Black Douglas Zero, Tooheys Extra Dry, Bunnings, and JB Hi-Fi. Cars entered will be 2 Ford GT-40's. The team is proud to announce the signing of Mark Winterbottom and, in a major coup, has also stolen Paul Dumbrell back from HSVDT at the final moment. An Endurance Series line up is set to be announced at a later date. Team Principle Mr Axeman has stated that since his team spent so much money on the sponsors product for personal use, the sponsors were only too happy to provide sponsorship to his new enterprise. Mr Axeman was also slightly bewildered however that JB Hi-Fi has signed with MungrelPunt Racing, and that both his drivers were also allegedly signed with All American Racing. He did state however that this may have something to do with signing David John for PR work. Liveries are scheduled to be revealed when someone is nice enough to do them as staff have no idea how to operate Graphic Art software. Mr Axeman also wished to thank Mr Antrodemus for his time and effort put into creating this series. Team: Axeman Performance Racing (APR) Drivers: #0 Mark Winterbottom, #00 Paul Dumbrell Cars: Ford GT-40's (which may end up looking suspiciously like BF Falcons if a livery is done by someone) |
