The Old Hairpin

It can look a pretty sinister place from some angles:-

On the other hand ...... maybe not!

But, ready, when necessary .....

To do what has to be done .....

And return in good cheer (well sort of!)....

And applaud the drivers, when it's all over!

Thanks to all the guys for your hospitality at this post.

What I want to know is why Steve Angel and Julian Floyd are holding hands!

Well my uni gave us a good idea of what to bring etc.

Tom.
Tom,

Apologies for delay in responding - just got back from a few days in Majorca (& warmth!).

The lad's name was Jamie and he is at Stafford Uni. He has only just started his course and is doing the "marshalling element" as an extra so has only had a couple of lectures.

As we live just outside Stafford, Bill offered his services if the course tutor was interested, so we were quite surprised to find out that the tutor was Mike Farnworth.

As stated, the lad had only been to a couple of lectures and, if only doing it as an extra, perhaps he had missed the important bit. He was at Mallory the week before but, of course, the weather there was pretty glorious - warm and sunny.

Might be worth making sure there is a reminder session before the season starts again next year. He certainly wouldn't have survived the Easter meeting we did at Oulton this year in the snow.

I am on the same course

Interesting seen as we had been adviced what to bring, even if you think it is going to be warm.

And I was at Mallory too

Tom.

I did wonder, but thought it better not to raise such a question on a family forum!

I think someone needs to set this up as a caption competition (that's someone with better IT skills than I have).

PLUS - we ought to consider framed evidence for each of them.
