Really looking forward to this now - fantastic entry and loads of brits. Shame that Div 2 didnt continue to grow after Sweden.

Any news from Hal re his Div 1A Clio, I thought he had set a target on the the second half of the season - would be great to see some more Brits in Div 1A.

I'm guessing there's not going to be a support class?

Wasn't Scheveneels supposed to enter his new Scirocco at Maasmechelen? Or isn't the car finished yet.

Can somebody tell me if there's any racing on Saturday, like at Valkenswaard where they ran the first heat on Saturday.

Practice and first heat is always on saturday at ERC events.

The time table is the same for all ERC rounds, as part of the FIA rules.

Apart from not knowing how far the work on Ronny Scheveneels’ Scirocco has progressed:
The new VW Scirocco is not homologated with the FIA yet (according to the latest list of 02.07.09)
nor is he mentioned in the current "List of cars not homologated with the FIA but eligible in Divisions 1, 1A and 2" (of 05.05.09).

Having only ever been to Valkenswaard for ERC I did not know that. I only remember them moving the first heat to Saturday a couple of years ago and then last year I finally went on Saturday. Obviously I now have to go to Maasmechelen to get my ERC fix.

Shame the VW is not ready yet, the Scirocco has an awesome shape and it would be great to see Ronny mix it up at the front again. He hasn't been getting much luck with the Golf with crashes and engine trouble.

Apologies all Brits supporters unfortunately our engine wont be ready in time for the Belgium ERC round so we have had to withdraw.

More bad luck I hope to go so will see everyone there, if the ferry doesnt sink with my luck this year

François Duval will team up with Koen Pauwels in Maasmechelen. Will be interesting to se what he can do in rallycross with the Focus.

They abandonned the plan to get the Sirocco up and running by the Belgian ERC event a couple of months ago when it became clear that several parts wouldn't be delivered on time to get the car finished.

Well, we shall be on the final corner. Standing on stilts to see over the umpteen gazebos (we will stay behind on Saturday and dismantle them!)

Can't wait - 4.30am ferry tomorrow to get down there in time for practice!

Really looking forward to our second visit to Maasmechelen. Should be a top event. Hoping for big things from Liam. B final should be achievable I think, but there field is very strong indeed.

Does any one know which of the Fiestas he will be driving?

There is talk of a possible gazebo-ban on the Belgian fora.

See ya all there, if anyone recognise me give a shout (but I guess you won't notice me and only look at the beautiful blond by my side)

Keep those pics coming Dave I think the new Focus ST front of the Pauwels cars looks great. I can not say the same of the colour scheme of Duval’s car

Congratulations to Jos Kuypers, from the D to the A Final and beating a Belgian competitor for the lead three times in a row. I think the Italian showed them who's fastest.

Italian, what a load of garbage!!

He is on a trakc he knows like the back of his hand, for me far more impresive were Dayraut beating Jean Luc, Duval right in there and the gehius that Duez is! At his age!

You should have heard the PA system, every time Jos had to drive he started speaking Italian and asking if the Italian fans would cheer. Didn't hear any of that after Kuypers beat just about every Belgian that had entered.

I very much enjoyed the driving of Duval, hopefully he will decide to enter a couple more of these. He was right up there in every heat and it would have been nice to see how he got on with the big boys in the A Final.

Also the English boys deserved a couple of cheers, Doran and Proctor had some great slides along the way. I think they both were involved in an exciting first heat, when Wild drove them both off the road.
