Haven't checked but is the pace faster than practice and catching out the people who were marginal on tape?

Blaming grass sounds a bit rich.

eh...I think the whole overheating thing was due to a combination of heat and possible debris. It looks calm out there now.

If we go through a full green flag pit stop cycle, Montoya with no tire vibration will kill everyone. Good chance to get a ton of cars a lap down.

Looking at his speeds, Montoya with fresh tires is 4 or so miles per hour faster than everyone but the leaders.

Times are slower than practice but there has got to be more to it that tape, it would seem to me.

I thought the commentators said it was quicker than happy hour, which was the quickest bit of practice?

Before the race NASCAR.com said that conditions were a little cooler. Does that mean that they added more tape and over compensated. Whatever it is a mess up.

JPM back on the same strategy with these yellow.

I had mistype on the speeds before. I meant, that at current, the race speeds were slower than the last practice I saw, but they were getting late into the tire run.

Right now, speeds are close to the Happy Hour time. I am unsure how different conditions are now compared to yesterday at 4 pm est.

Argh! The coverage has been lost. Still on the plus side they are playing The Planets over the NASCAR logo. It makes it sound like something dramatic is about to happen.
