I just meant that it's a bit of a sham when someone changes a motor and is allowed to rejoin.

I see - did Disalvo bring out the red flag or was that for a different incident? If not, then i guess it was his lucky day twice...

The two were unrelated. Eslick(I think it was him, sp?) had a pretty scary crash with a front tire failure. He continued, but Dunlop didn't like something about what happened to the tire and a lap or two later forced everybody to stop and put on a different compound. Of course, Dunlop was totally unprepared for this(some nonsense about unforseeable warm weather in Florida or something) and so it took them 2 hours to get the job done.
Disalvo lost his engine just before the red flag came out, so they used the break to change it. It made for a bit of an ugly race, we lost live TV after an hour of red and had to wait until late night to see the finish. A real shame too because the finish was 15 laps of OMFG THIS IS SO FRIKKING AWESOME! Just hope too many people didn't miss it because of the tire break. |

Merged the AMA thread & ASBK thread - feel free to talk here about any SBK national championship...
Should we merge BSB here too - or that popular enough to have its own thread? |

if you want to merge it then fine by me. I wonder if there will be a replacement rider for hopkins for next weekend triple header at cadwell park. a little reminder that the race 1 grid for this race is based on oulton park grid for the postpone race 2 and another reminder that this grid is 3 by 3

I thought race 2 from Jersey was an absolute cracker. There was an eight bike train battling out front for a lot of the race, and the championship could have gone either way with less than a lap to go.
Good to see a non Suzuki take the title again. Good to see Rapp competitive on the Ninja. If Honda return and Buell and KTM can get a bit of development on board, then AMA '12 looks to be a great season. |

I would have thought Kagayama would have ripped the likes of Akiyoshi and Yanagawa to shreds - bike differences? |
