Unfortunately we won't be there as I am still recovering from my operation on Tuesday and Bill is looking after me like the diamond geezer he is.

Have a great day everybody and stay safe.

I hope the weather at Mallory today was better than it has been here - or in Montreal!

Nope, pretty much the same. I've just about dried out after a soggy but enjoyable day at the Elbow.

Post 12 had the right idea, going home as soon as the rain started & leaving a recorded message. Unfortunately, they were found out when the record got stuck "car 36 spun & continued...click...car 36 spun & continued...click...car 36 spun & continued..."

Another face put to a tenther (good to meet you Mr Brand).

Just a tad damp - at least at Gerrards it was coming from behind us. Good day, a little bit busy in the couple of races before lunch. Nice to put faces to names at sign-on for Messrs Brand and Swallow.

Very wet

Jees, that was a pretty dismal day re weather, both Nina and I soaked through and quite cold by the end.

Great racing and cars though - and hats off to the drivers who managed to stay on in the main and had no major bumps. Very impressive.

Very busy on the Startline - with some large grids and some Red Flags to deal with, especially the MR2's at the end - got a bit complicated that one! Basically the rest of the crew had it under control and I hadn't a clue!

Learning point number one - Paper grid sheets do not survive persistent rain LOL.

Good day in all and nice to see some old friends.

Actually, they often don't even survive 'light drizzle' or 'damp pocket.' Transparent plastic wallets are the way to go, and I usually just print and laminate the timetable credit-card sized

If only it was a recording! If I remember correctly it was 5 times in a 15 minute practice session, including one contact with another car and one fairly firm contact with the scenery!

Thanks to all the team on 12 / 14 for keeping warm and dry throughout the day - or was that wet and cold, I always get those confused when I'm wet and cold!

They were already in transparent pockets.....rain managed to get into that as well, so damp was it!

Never did catch up with you - Nina and I spent all morning before being on post helping ot fix our friends braking system on his Locost. He did get out, which made it all worthwhile...!

No he wasn't - would have made my day though as there would have been a lot of mileage in that.

He was Locost #45. He was struggling in the wettest part of the 1st Q session. The rears locked at the hairpin and he ended up at 180 degrees, needing new pants he said!

We decided it was brake bias issue, and spent ages trying to sort it.

He did well in the Heat, though missed a gear on Start - but still managed to Q for final. About halfway through the final he decided the conditions were too poor, brakes were still playing up so rather than risk a crash, and damaging his or someone elses car he very sensibly came in.

Wet but enjoyable day on post 10 but not nice having the rain head on, valuable lesson learnt in needing to bring a second pair of waterproof gloves.
Still a good meet with some brave racing, respect to those behind the wheel for racing in those conditions

An enjoyable day at the Elbow - & now I know who Sticker Rub is!

What a good idea that was, lowering the wall on the side of the box facing the track . . . ensured that everything got wet!

I enjoyed the facial I got from the spray and it was awesome to watch the bow waves from the cars as they came down Stebbe Straight.

Do you know, even the negative angled windows of the commentary box got droplets of rain on them?! It nearly made lap scoring difficult!
