Ex-champ in car search

Three-times British Rallycross Champion Pat Doran has seven days to find a car to drive in the opening round of the Monster Energy MSA British Rallycross Championship, in association with MaKTraK because delays mean that his new Citroën DS3 Supercar will not be ready to race at Lydden Hill on March 24.

Ah, so it is a DS3 then! Another Mtech car I assume?

Binks Fiesta would be an ideal candidate, wouldn't it? Especially as USRallycross confirmed just a few days ago its sitting unused and ready to race...

That would be beyond awesome! The consensus of the Guru though seems to be that there are still some bits of Rosie missing.

(And, even if there aren't bits missing, I guess Pat will want a "back up" car that he can drive at the ERC event: irrespective, we can still hope for Rosie!)

78 cars so far but would expect to reach around 90 by time event starts next weekend.

I would expect Pat to hire back his Old Fiesta from Binks for the event!!

Or

Andy Scott uses the Eklund Saab to test and Pat uses the 306!

Last time I came to watch there was only 6 racing.
Seems a shame that a formula I used to do is in decline.

Noticed Andy Scott was in the 306 where the Focus or is it not ready also no Procter or Jos Jansen as I know Jansen is to be there!

Just read on Rallycrossworld Scott is testing the Saab's destined for the USA on the 27th March at Dreux. Busy week Lydden then France.

Now 11 entries in the Supercar class (think Mundy is the addition?). No Chris Langley or Gary Pusey yet, was hoping Procter would be on there as well, but we still have a week to go, so fingers crossed. Three Exige's in Super Modified as well: superb!

Interestingly Rallycross World is saying that Pat is looking to borrow Liam's GRC C4 for Lydden...

...rather than getting something else in. It also confirms Pats long term ride will be a DS3 based on "running gear drawn from an ex-KHM C4". The car that Liam bend at Lydden last year perhaps?

THE focus from ollie? Scott's car? Bought Pauwels focus? New car? Somebody else his car? Will hè drive erc lydden? I think godfrey start erc lydden in s1600 so pat can use that car in erc

Erc also counts for BRC supercars?
Will Scott do ERC with THE focus?

Focus Ollie is using is the one Pat used last year! It would seem Pats plan of buying a decent cheap focus and bringing it to the UK and then selling on to Uk driver has paid off! Senior Doran has kept a decent driver in the BRC with fairly competetive car what a result.

I'm not sure if Retro Rallycross are going to be 'properly' racing.

On twitter it says, quote @RetroRallycross:

Only "displaying a taster", i thought it was a proper championship this year with its 1st round at Lydden?

Explains why not on entry list if it is only a demo like last August.
Shame if it is, was looking forward to seeing it racing.

On the Lydden Hill facebook page someones asked about the retro rallycross and they said this "Yes Round 1 of the Retro Rallycross Challenge will be taking place at this event" This is someone who works at the circuit who replied with this.
