The photo posted above is the only one I have of the incident. I have just two more...of the aftermath. The orange Escort was stranded in that position for a couple of laps, then the driver got the engine started again and rejoined the race.

Looks to me like it was a racing incident, 4 into 1 doesn't go no matter what the machinery.

The Skylines/Escorts accident officially was purely a racing incident, and no action of any type has been taken because of this, and in their eyes the incident is now closed
Unfourtunately to make it worse all 4 cars damaged were new to the Championship and we hope they will return as this is a very rare occurrance within the CTCRC who strictly police driving standards through both drivers & officials alike.
Without criticising anyone in any way, a few lessons have been learned, and there will be some changes for the next round, as this incident should /could have been avoided.
It is a reminder that in our level of motorsport it is worth loosing some time/a place to avoided a possible incident, it just is not worth it, you are not fighting for a works drive and to always try to be aware what is going on in all your mirrors, while driving the A** off your own car having your own race.
In Classic Thunder we are proud of our close, hard racing with very few incidents, and I believe it takes far more talented drivers to slide side by side without bouncing off each other in an attempt to stay on the circuit while entering a corner far too fast.
I look forward to the next race @ Silverstone on the 5th/6th May with a grid of fatastic cars and drivers

No 1st outing with The Bullet @ the SRGT's Cadwell, May 25th/26th, also doing their June 4/5th Brands 2 driver race, with Craig Davies & the September Donington 2 Driver Race with Jules Westwood & their other Donington single driver round in late June.
Also hope to do the double header CSCC 'Thunder Salooon/ Sports/ Specials' Revival races at Coombe, Mallory and Donington and go to the 6 Hour meeting at Spa to do Barrys 1 hour 2 driver race with Craig Davis partnering me as I am in his Vette again in the 6 Hr race

Pleased to hear it, though the new car looks awesome. Well done on the win, you have to be in it to win it!

So you agree that the skyline drivers involved aren't very talented?

I am not arguing on any point or giving my opinion of any drivers talent.
We ALL make mistakes, or slight errors at times and get away wth it most of the time.
Obviously some slight miscalualtios/errors of judgement were made by A or Some Drivers as the cars ended in a collision course, and led to this unfourtunate incident rather than another safe pass.
It was not deliberate contact by any party in any way, shape or form, or was it a regularly occurring type of incident by the drivers involved.
I think I can safely say my opinion of the matter is shared by the rest of the Unofficials involved (The Drivers) in CT too, so case closed as far as we are concerned.

S**t happens in this sport,it can cost you dearly, as I learnt last year at Mallory, There was no intention there by either party, we shook hands(by e mail in reality) and we get on with life and racing, both a bit wiser.

i think a bit of video evidence from both party might help as i have seen it from both parties.

Having learnt another lesson very important lesson on this very Forum a couple of years ago on here!!!
Therefore I would please ask any CT members not to be drawn in any way to comment/defend etc any other members behaviour on or off the track.
Any concerns should be raised with any of the CTCRC's commitee members, such as Andy Johnson, Peter Edwards, Steve Cripps etc or the CT co-ordinator, Dennis Bassom.
The concerns will be addressed by the commitee, in consoltation and agreement of the drivers, in a fair transparent way.
Any members not wanting to deal with the commitee direct, think there concerns are not being addressed fairly or wanting to remain anonymous contact me any time.
I have no poliical agenda in any way, but I will do my utmost and put myself right out to ensure that fairness and a happy Paddock is the normin the CTCRC

In reliteration of the above:

Officials, Club & Drivers are satisfied the matter is closed.

And for those with that urge to be drawn in, just remember the most important thing of all:

That is what possible tincey, wincey, tiny bit of difference does another persons opinion, outside the above paremeters, matter one iota ?

Mod Note
It serves no good purpose to any series to come on here and try and stir trouble for it. Each race meeting has a CoC and stewards to apportion blame if It's due and each race series will have a committee to police driving standards, let them do their jobs and if you are involved in said series or race you know the correct channels to take, here is not the best place to embroil a series in controversy.

Normal rules will apply on here and that includes trolling and attacking other users so try and keep your posts reasonable and on the subject at hand. As has been said the incident was declared a racing one and no further action taken please leave it at that.

as has been said before, it serves no good to any party to be arguing over a forum in the public eye, such matters should be dealt with between the members involved and the club.

I think that the grid numbers will improve substantially for Silverstone onwards, as we had many people who were either not ready, didnt want to do single header, or busy due to it being easter....
So I think we can expect some exciting grids in the very near future and roll on Silverstone!!
