Congrats to Bourdais winning from start to finish, not something you usually see in IndyCar. Otherwise I thought it was a fairly indifferent race, initially not helped by a third red flag.

Was a decent race once it got going, but all the fuss getting it going pretty much ruined it for me. Seabass is back, I guess...

I don't really care for the double weekends like this, but in this case, they have a chance to make up for the calamity of the first race. Here's hoping for a more exciting, cleaner Race 2.

That was a very clean start but Kanaan goes into the tyres in turn 3 and the 1st yellow comes out.

Massive crash on turn 8, Aleshin's car went right underneath Montoya's car, which was already in the tyre wall. Apparently Aleshin's ok.

The yellow is out and it's starting to rain. It's all happening in Toronto.

This is indeed becoming a weekend that most would hope to soon forget. Hopefully the cars circulating will keep some dry lines out there as they approach halfway. They are saying that the rain is starting to dissipate some.

This was certainly a weekend to forget.

Indycar racing is great but it certainly feels amateurish at times. Not just from a driving view but also from an officiating/race directing view. Seems like when they go to street courses, everyone forgets to pack their common sense.

Glad that Aleshin was unharmed. It's always scary to see a car land on someone's head.

Concur. It does seem very amateurish at times and remeniscent of F 5000 in the '70s.

The only thing messier than that debacle of a weekend was Mayor Rob Ford's tighty whiteys after going in that pace car ride along with Paul Tracy!!

I am glad the annual Looney Fest on Lakeshore is done for another year.

Now. On to Mid-Ohio where I can go and watch the Indy Cars actually stretch their legs and race, and I can spectate and see vast amounts of the circuit without 3 layers of mesh fence everywhere (only one layer in most places at M-O), and just sit back on the spectator mounds and enjoy a cold beverage and take in racing as it is meant to be.

Praying for good weather as well.

I thought the number two was a boring race. Two hours wasted. Too many accidents and the pace was slow. The pavement so wet, some cars could spin under yellow.
