I was able to have a look at the plans for the Bahrain Track in March, they are very serious about trying to get the GP and there is a causeway that enable people to drive directly from Saudi.

Maybe a "Local" owning a team is all that is needed to make sure it happens, good luck to them. Also good luck to the teams who will have to run in 40 degree temps.

Mr Al Waleed is an extremely unsavoury character too and as a Minardi fan while he has deep pockets I dont think a man like him would be suitable to own the team given his links to international terrorism

Al Waleed is the man who had a cheque for $10m returned to him by the mayor of New York in the aftermath of Sept 11th after he effectively said that America got what it deserved

Al Waleed is also widely reported as a money man in Hamas the Palestinian terrorist group and admitted giving 'compensation' to the families of suicide bombers who attack Israeli targets so while he may have the money to keep Minardi going I have deep reservations as to whether he is the right man to own them
