There aren't any drivers that have been there for longer than 2 years, except Tom Sisley.

then there's an awful lot next year who have to win the championship
(taking the 'if you've been in it 3 years and haven't won you need to reassess things' unwritten rule) |

Always seemed a strange sort of rule to me. Depends on the car, I'd have thought. It would have scuppered Mika Hakinnen and most of the F1 drivers too.

Don't forget Mark McLoughlin - though he's only making a few test appearances this year - this is at least his third year in the championship

Last year was Mark McLoughlin's third year in the series, I doubt he'll be back now. General opinion does tend to be that three years in a junior championship should be plenty, personally I believe that more than three years combined in FRenault and F3 and things aren't looking great. I know so many drivers are kept behind because of lack of funding, but you've got to keep the momentum up if you want to get to the big time. That's what keeps interest in you, and I believe that's a big reason why Jamie Green won the Young Driver award over Danny Watts last year, and why Robbie Kerr didn't win the year before.
