I respect that Sato might have had the best race as far as subs go -but "showing what BAR is capable without JV?"

It's about praising the sub drivers, not unfairly criticising the others. For example, just because Gené was 5th and Ralf spun at Indy and Suzuka it doesn't mean Gené is 10 times better than Ralf.

Belgium he was decent. Close to Irvine. And both were poor at Nurburgring.
Monza? Like the other low downforce track he was very good, finishing ahead of Irvine - who wasn't close enough to be swapped around.

However he was along way off his team mate in Imola too.
