I'm not doing FF, and therefore the engine internals are freer, particularly cams, those who can afford steel use it and rev accordingly, I dont think anyones trying to be 'cool' by revving higher than FF, theres a wide gulf in performance in the historic saloon series, ususally dictated by budget, I just want to build something safe and tough to my budget, and obviously be as competitive as I can

Im not crossflow either, we're period pre crossflow, Im not even allowed to downdraught it.

i assumed it was in a FF sorry,

ford crank, rods and pistons wont like going to 8k still tho....

I have a Lotus cortina crank and rods, and a set of cosworth pistons . . . . .apparently theyre quite happy to 7500 and blips at 8 . . . .I hope

at present Im LC crank rods and hepolite pistons so 7 is max or the pots will fall apart!

yeh hepolite pistons, enjoy breaking at high revs, im stearing well clear of them for my mini project...

hopefully the cosworth pnes wont . . .they better not, theyre not cheap !
