Close in time but not, I think, related. JCC lost first one venue due to some fencing/road alterations making the track unsafe (Ragley Hall - my nearest motorsport venue unless I count the Autocross two fields away) and then lost their Cornbury Park date.

Great shame as these were two funs days in attractive surroundings.

Regards

Jim

Done..

Asked Craig for a 6 month trial for a Hillclimb and Sprint Forum to see how it goes. That may be the best way to get it going and if its successful and popular we may get it to stay!!!

Great. Would it be good for this thread to be moved there to christen it (when it gets set up)?

Regards

Hi guys,

Here is the reply from Craig....

Hi James
As you can imagine we are regularly asked to add various forums for all manner of subjects. In the past we have entered into the type of experiment that you suggest but we decided that we would no longer do this as they very rarely worked out. Instead we keep an eye on the level of interest and react by adding forums if and when traffic dictates. So, if you'd like a forum for this subject, may I suggest that you encourage as many people as possible to post in the existing national racing forum and then ask again in a few months!

Many thanks for your interest
Craig

Looks like if we want a forum we just need to start posting lots of hillclimb threads in the National and Club racing forum.

Sorry, but we tried. Don't give up yet though!!

Thanks for trying,so exactly where will we post in future?
And should we always head it hillclimbs and sprints?

Any one interested in competing/marshalling/spectating at the Mid Cheshire Curborough meeting (2 lap) on March 28th?

Mike,

If you require marshals by all means post a request in the Marshals Forum as there are quite a few guys there who marshal hill climbs

In Australia, there is a very fine line, more of a grey area, between track days and sprints and it tends to be the same people who do hillclimbs and sprints.
