I like it. It is predictable, but should look good in the flesh. Why not do the obvious? They are trying to sell cans of red bull, make it look like a can of Red Bull! Simple and effective. There is no clever message (see 3 jellysish and other adverts), just buy Red Bull. Apart from anything else it will save on advertising agents fees. k-b's comparison to the Marly cars is a good one. It is the whole packaging not just a name on the side. In the end I guess it'll be spoilt by additions of other sponsors.

Maybe if you inverted the colors, EERO. Just maybe.

Doesn't look amazing - and it doesn't look surprising.
I would really like it if they added a bit more to it though, even if it didn't fit the can 'look' |

If you don't like the Red Bull livery just wait until you see the matching overalls.
One thing i will say....it's certainly different compared to the rest of the cars on the grid. |

I like the look of the paint job.... It reflects what the team actually sells and is instantly recognisable.
Out of the rest of the cars on the grid - Mclaren's to me look the best. |

with the large silver squares there should be plenty of room for additional sponsors, i think they look quite empty at the minute.

A classic livery with bold colours looks better than one with all manner of stickers randomly placed. |

No surprise in that livery, but IMO it will be different come Melbourne next year. Probably with a couple of more sponsors to boot...

I think I'll reserve judgement on the Red Bull livery till I see it on the car- I just can't visualise it without. Last edited by Utopian; 18 Nov 2004 at 20:11. |

I think it looks fine as it is. Simplicity is a good quality IMO.....no jokes please!
But I agree with Skam85. If they changed the silver parts to that reflective miiror-like metallic colour that Montoya and Trulli use on their lids, then they would have one of the greatest (and expensive, impractical and probably heavy) liveries I've ever seen. Maybe they should just have it for the launch. Last edited by Irv the Swerve; 18 Nov 2004 at 20:18. |

Wel, you can see the silver bit behind David Pitchforth on the BBC article
BBC Red Bull Of course, I'd be stupid to say this is the final shade |

Perhaps what they're thinking is, after seeing the car, when you're in the store & see the can of Red Bull sitting there on the shelf, you'll recognize the image on the can & buy the beverage.

Hehe, I'm completely unsure as to whether that was the most sarcastic thing I've read here, or the most 'over his head'.
As said - Red Bull can't really rely on sales from having it's own name floating all round the car. How many soft drinks as team manufacturers have their been in the past? It's going to be a little strange. You'd think bacardi or something might but the little bit on the top of the sidepod covers or something too obviously the car is going to be a more 'Red Bully' version of the Sauber (e.g. 1995 but in the right shade). Time for the Sauber's to go back to black! (Of course, Petronas markings mean they'll be quite turquoise I guess). See Red Bull Sauber Run... |

I seem to recall reading that the test livery was designed by Red Bull's marketing department; and that's basically what led me in the direction of my theory @ their design.
Me, an inspector? You really think so? |
