Is question 7 Fontana..... say, 2001? There were only like six cars left at the end of a race at Fontana one year recently IIRC. Or Maybe it was Michgan.... So I guess I don't know.

Q29: If we're counting Indy 500s, would the answer to this be 1993? In CART, we had Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti and Nelson Piquet, while in F1, there was only Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna.

William Dale Jr...
I didn't come up with Q29, so I didn't research it, but judging from the fact that you got the right answer I'm inclined to believe that it does include Indy!

Even if you aren't counting the Indy 500, CART still wins 3-2.

As for question 2, I'm pretty sure it was this goofy red-haired guy who's dad won Indy four times.

And I would imagine smallest starting grid is the 18 cars that started most races last year.

Have you made a guess, and want to see if you're right?

Or have you simply given up?

I've just editted the opening post (the questionairre) in such a way that, if you click on a question, the answer should open in a new window.

Just don't spill the beans in this thread! Let others have a chance to guess!
(I realize that I've already spilled the beans on a few of them. My bad).

Good catch, the answer provided to Macdaddy is wrong. Who was the idiot who did that?!?

Macdaddy: You made a lot of work for yourself making up all those jpgs. Thanks for the effort.

You're very welcome. (True - making and uploading each individual jpeg did turn out to be rather tedious). The fact that you folks are enjoying this makes it all worthwhile.

I've changed the answer to Question 27.

In my own defence: Only the first 19 questions are mine!

Got the race and year correct, but not the amount. Half a point?

Here's one I just came up with...

How many drivers have won the Vanderbilt Cup?

Nineteen different drivers have won the award.

George Heath (1904)
Victor Hemery (1905)
Louis Wagner (1906)
George Robertson (1908)
Harry Grant (1909, 1910)
Ralph Mulford (1911)
Ralph DePalma (1912, 1914)
Dario Resta (1915, 1916)
Tazio Nuvolari (1936)
Bernd Rosemeyer (1937)
Harry Carter (1960)
Jimmy Vasser (1996)
Alex Zanardi (1997)
Greg Moore (1998)
Tony Kanaan (1999)
Gil de Ferran (2000, 2001)
Cristiano da Matta (2002)
Paul Tracy (2003)
Sebastien Bourdais (2004)
