Could be my back wheel just ahead of the Conrero! This was a 20 lap race so quite long. An hour before the race we fitted a 1 gallon oil can over my knees to carry extra fuel and used almost all of it - luckily I was lapped so did only 19 laps. Started 6th and finished 4th behind another Lotus 51 FF driven by Bruce Cargill from the US, but ahead of the aforementioned McDonald. I had a broken throttle return spring which slowed me down but I noted that Cargill had to run very slowly towards the end to conserve fuel.
